yeah I agree with Grendel

I reckon joffa is a nice enough guy and those very rare times he 'plays it straight' on BigFooty reveal him to be sensitive, intelligent and articualte.

Unfortunately 90 % of his posts are infantile, abusive and mindless.

So I usually don't even read them.

I don't agree with lioness who said joffa is a big part of the the BigFooty culture - can't agree with that one at all.

I could name at least a dozen other people who contribute far better material to these boards than joffa :rolleyes:

BigFooty is a big place - big enough for mindless barrackers like joffa and FJD, and big enough for the other people to do thier thing as well.

I personally don't care whether joffa posts here or not, BigFooty won't suffer if he goes - believe me.

Still like to catch up withe the guy for a beer though ...

Well sorry Magpie Greg, maybe I haven't got the standard of technical education you have at your age, as I am only 16...but if that is all you can say against my arguement, then something is wrong...at least I get my point across.

Joffa doesn't bother with any punctuation or grammar, so compared to him, I am an A grade grammar student.

And that sort of backs up what Rohan Coventry was saying. Do you have to be an abusive type in order to barrack for Collingwood ?
 
Rather than having to think too hard and write my own material, I would say that I agree with Grendel 100% here. Joff pees me off with his mindless namecalling and abuse sometimes, but I do admire his passion. I would love to see more posts of his with that passion, but without the 3rd grade insults. I have no doubt, from the number of posts supporting him, that he is a great guy in person.

Another thing that pees me off more is that people always seem to want to jump to his or Collingwoods defence so quickly. Its only a forum, and I'm trying my hardest to chill out (not always successfully). I promise to try a bit harder if some of you will, too.

Actually windbags, you dont have to enter a space before a question mark. It is not a word. Just as with quotes, you dont have to have a space after the opening quotation mark of before the closing one.

I think Maggie G was just pointing out that people seem to think apostrophes can go anywhere, well they c'a'n't.:D

And what is it you cant face?

Yes, structurally it meets (one of) the criteria of a question. The modal verb ("can't") precedes the subject noun phrase ("people").

I don't know Joffa personally but we kind of indirectly chat on Nicks Collingwood site. He seems to bring up personal issues in his posts towards me rather than address the main points of my arguments.

This is the fault of this forum, and other forums. People take things too much to heart and as a consequence the topics are about certain members of this site, rather than football issues

I don't really know the case of FJD. From what I have picked this guy has been personally harassing/stalking Joffa that is way over the top.

I was a victim of this because I tried to contact Joffa through his site in good faith but Alf Andrews sent me an abusing e-mail. This example proves that people are taking things that happen here too serious.
