Just a little message to everyone wishing you all a very safe and memorable Christmas and New Year.

I hope we all take the time to enjoy a break with our family (and of course the boxing day races).

If you are travelling at this time of year (like myself), please take it very easy on the roads. Remember police are out in force with operation AEGIS and will catch you if you are an idiot.

Arrive alive so your family doesn't have to work out a funeral over Christmas.

As for the board, I think we have had a successful year with many good winners (and many bad losers). A very big festive **** you to Kerrin McEvoy on Denman. Thank you for taking the time to come here and discuss everything to do with punting.

Thank you to those users who post their selections, and thanks to those users who are willing to help the newer punters.

On a personal note I would like to thanks the following people.

Oaks - Thanks for your selections and interesting dicussion. I am sure you have more then helped us punters!

TheTrav - Excellent job with the punting club!

Dr Nick/ROugh Edges/anyone else who posted their tips - Cheers fellas, has been great reading and seeing you pick up some great winners.

Tazl - Gun greyhound tipster, thanks for the winners :D

But also thanks to everyone else, it has been a very easy job modding this board this year!

Now for some EPIC LULZ

No worries mate, enjoyed the board this year, have just read in previous years due to lack of discussion on the horses and stuff but it has really picked up this year.

Congrats on the success of RBB.

and just while we are on the discussion of rubbishing jockeys.

**** you Williams on Ortensia.

**** you McEvoy on Governance (perhaps the worst ride i've ever seen)

Yeah, hopefully he can win us a few races. :thumbsu:

Haha, could go either way; exactly right.

Oreo will be a gun :thumbsu:

My memorable punting moments

-Hitting 50% of a quaddie that paid $6800
-Shocking's win in the Melbourne Cup (even tho i wasnt on it)
-Vigor's advancing through the ranks since i blackbooked it almost 2 years ago. Him running 3rd in the Caufield Cup was almost more profitable than any other winner i've had this year.
-The explosion of the Lohnro's this year, has been good to watch so many good young horses. Looking forward to seeing a lot of these horses next year.
-Nick Hall's fantastic riding.

merry xmas to you all.

It's been a good year on the punt for myself, but gee it could have been an amazing year if McEvoy knew how to ride.

Had some big wins on Heart of Dreams in Sydney and then Black caviar, Typhoon Tracy and Purple down here.

Lets not forget those horses that have passed on, Daintree Duke, Sunburnt Land, Gilded venom, thanks for the memories.

And to two champion horses that have retired, Apache Cat and Takeover Target...thanks.

And a last special thanks to Forensics, my biggest ever win on the punt was her win in the Myer last year, enjoy your retirement.

Have a good new year all.
