So according to Hawks' fans they're a shoe-in for the flag - they're the favourites with a list of highly skilled celebrity sports men and the cup will be in that empty spot in the trophy cabinet that they cleared out in May last year. I mean, come on:

They're the flag favourites in the betting markets - just like last year.

They've won a few early games - just like last year.

NO ONE can stop their forwards - just like last year.

They're the premiership shoe in - just like last year.

Their supporters have their chests out and voices loud - just like last year.

And in October we will hear their blustering excuses - just like last year.

Such short memories these Hawks fans have....

**** off Sydney, please. No one cares about you guys anymore. Be gone.

Sorry AlterRob, if I'd known that winning the flag last year would get your panties in such a twist I would have asked the boys to not go so hard on twitter.

What is this shit? 2 real games for the year and you guys are 0-2. ****ing embarrassment. Shameful is what it is.

Point me to threads where Hawks fans claim they are shoe-ins for the flag. I know of multiple Sydney back to back and Geelong undefeated 2013 threads...

try every thread with any post by any hawthorn fan for the last 18 months.

you probably can't see the smug arrogance of every post because evidently through the eyes of a Hawks poster they're just saying what they misguidedly think is fact.

Here's a good one:

Round 5 2012: Sydney d Hawthorn by 37 points.
Round 7 2013: Hawthorn d Sydney by 37 points.

I like this new trend that has appeared.
