Richmond
Sure he's as much a part of Richmond as losing, but he's overrated. The guy kicks more behinds than goals and Wallace never seems to know where to play him. And with Jade Rawlings as his tutor, no wonder he hasn't fired up this season. If they're cleaning out the old guard at Punt Road and playing the kids then Richo should go open a pub.
Bowdo for Captain!

The only thing worse then this thread is your user name, "roolz".

Clearly you are about 12 so I will go easy on you. You are an idiot to think Richo will ever be delisted from our club. He has given more in the last 15 years then every single other player on our list. He is still an excellent player and easily our best foward.

The guy kicks alot of behinds because he doesn't have the confidence he should have because of sh*t blokes like yourself getting on his back everytime he has a shot. He is a fantastic mark and has a tank much bigger then most other fowards.

Mods delete this thread, i have never read so much tripe in my life

No confidence after 15 years? How does that work?
Get rid of him...

I agree, let a club that has a real chance of winning a premiership pick him up for nothing, afterall he wont ever win one at our crap club.

I feel sorry for Richo having to spend 15 years at this hell hole.

Do it weaver, Peejay or Kahn ya know ya want to..........!!!!

i'm a Crows supporter but based on his performances over the last 12+ years IMO Richo is one of the all-time great CHF/FF (i rate him ahead of Tredrea for example)and i could never understand the flack he gets.

If Adelaide had him we would have won a couple more premierships in the last 5 years - geez i'ld love to have him this year or even next)

The same blinkered attitude has left our club at the crossroads for two decades. It is great to show loyalty to the club but has Richo repaid the faith the club has put in him?

Ask yourself this.

Someone before tried to defend Richo by saying he was a 15 year servant but still lacked confidence. Pretty explanatory.

I agree Richo would slot into a top four side as a third string forward and even a second stringer if given the right guidance. Alas he is a product of our Walls-Geishan-Frawley era - an era that continues to haunt Punt Rd.

Richardson might live and breathe Richmond but the Tigers have been a benchmark for mediocrity. I can't think of a player who epitimises our plight more (maybe Brown too, great player finished by horrific bad luck).

Richo was going to be a superstar until Andrew Bloody Dunkley pushed him into the fence at the SCG. He is a case of what might have been? Not of what will be?

One ten goal performance against a lacklustre Doggies outfit does not justify many poor performances usually against top eight sides for three or four years.

I too love it when Richo takes a grab and gets the crowd going by slotting one from fifty. But how many times have our players busted their guts to get the ball down to him for Richo only to gut their confidence to do it all over again and again with a hopeless shot at goal - usually at moments when we really need them.

Remember that handball to Rodan in the goal square?

Matty has never possessed the poise and matchreading ability of a Carey, a J. Brown, a Lloyd, a Tredrea et al. I'm sure how he can draw comparisons with the great modern CHFs.

He shouldn't be delisted. He should not, however, be defended blindly either.

If each player in a team that has performed worse than any other in the comp for two decades can't have questions asked of them - no matter their veteran status - what hope do we have going forward when we're stuck in rewind.

Thanks Roger. I'm not saying the big fella isn't a legend, I'm saying he's currently a liability in the Tiger's plans going forward.

Where do i start? When people say who are our best Richmond players, who is the first to come into your mind? Well for me it's Richo. Many people name their pets after Richo and have no 12 plastered all over the place. When i go to a coffee shop, i always ask for table no 12.... He is to me, the current best thing at the club. I love it when people bag him, it adds spite to the game, but he gives 110% every week and usually leads with most marks each week.

Nothing beats the crowd singing out : RIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO

OK, he can't kick, but who cares... he is a trus Tiger Legend and we should all respect him.

i don't believe you guys are actually posting anything to this thread - he is obviously a troll who is pretending to be a tigers supporter (my bet is he is a roo's supporter "roo -ls" )

delete the thread mods, it's just stupid, shit stirring stuff:confused:

There was an article in last year's AGE - that's a newspaper for those that can read - about the importance of kicking in the modern game. That game of course is called FOOTball. The foot (or boot) makes contact with a ball. If this can be achieved accurately around the ground or in front of goal, the ball doesn't get given to the opposition.

"Who cares if he can't kick?"

I do, for one.

If he can't kick, explain how he has managed to kick 700 goals in his career, in the top 20 of all time.
Defies logic that one:confused:

Coughlan, would you want him kicking for your life?

Stats read well without context. Or is the glass always half full?

Let's see how many he kicks this week against Port. I hope he does well... in the ruck.

so how has he kicked more behinds moron ?

yeah lets trade our best player from over the best decade

and watch him go to a team like adelaide and kick 100 goals in a year with good ball delivery

Where's the shots that went out on the full? Convenient you don't list those. Where's the shots that were touched by the man on the mark? Where are the play on's where he was tackled before he could even kick it?

And how many of those goals were kicked when we were in winning positions compared to the behinds?

Muppet.
