Official delistings announced!

Collingwood List Changes
Nick Hulett 11:25 AM Mon 12 October, 2009

Collingwood has announced further changes to its senior and rookie lists following trade week.

Ruckman Chris Bryan and midfielder Danny Stanley have both been informed they will not be offered new playing contracts for the 2010 season.

Hi guys just stumbled across this on the CFC website, just incase no one here has seen it yet. I know there has been lots of dicussion but nothing official... so here it is!

Re: Official delistings announced!

Not surprised to see Stanley and Bryan on that list but I feel sorry for Bennell. A first year rookie, he got injured during the year but came back and did well in the finals. I reckon he could get a second chance back home at W.A.

I'd say this would be our final "Off" List, which means the rumours about Corrie and a 2 year deal are probably accurate, and Ryan Cook gets 1 more year to prove himself.

This will leave us with 3 spots on our list, which I'd say would all be draft picks.

Scott Reed is almost certain to be upgraded from a NSW rookie to a "standard" rookie.

Off:

Martin Clarke (retired)

Kevin Dyas* (delisted)
Tony Thoolen* (delisted)

I thought we needed to make one more change. That has to be Corrie he makes Ryan Lonie look like a great body on body in and under player.

You are right on in terms of ability, but Corrie has leadership, he is basically the captain of the reserves.

Isnt that Peverals job. I would prefer to keep Stanley than Corrie outside and flakey he also has bad eyesight ................ well cannot watch the ball when there is body contact on the way.

Damien Peverill should not be at Collingwood next year.

He was supposed to be the captain of the VFL team, yet when it came to prelim final day, he went to a mates wedding instead, pathetic leadership, and showed no loyalty at all to the side he was supposed to be captain of.

Collingwood doesn't need people around our club who place outside influences who aren't family above the club.

Surely Cook could be captain next year of the VFL side, as he is unlikely to play a lot of senior football, but then again, either is Corrie.

So based on those retiring, being delisted and the coming of Jolly...we have 3 senior list spots to fill.

In:
Jolly
Blair (Promoted)
Pick#30
Pick#62

Out:
Rocca
Clarke
Bryan
Stanley

Is that correct?

Corrie is not soft, and it is ridiculous to compare him to Lonie.

He has below average skills and poor decision making / team orientation, but he puts his head over it.

No rookies will be promoted to the senior list and we will have no PSD pick. Unless there are more delistings.

Teams need to take a minimum of 3 players in the ND and 3 spots is all we have on the senior list.
Clarke, Rocca, Stanley, Bryan.

Doesn't that free up four?

I cant believe Corrie and Cook are still around, Cox is very lucky aswell.
Depth players at best.
This means that if we have 23 injured players they are in with a chance of getting a game;)

hahaha what losers, Johnny Bennell is better than Jamie Bennell. Well WCE or Freo will swoop in the rookie draft.

Thanks guys

First half of the season he was very average in the VFL, then he broke his collarbone and was ok when he came back playing 2 good games in the finals.

Pretty sure this year the rules have changed. We need to promote 3 players to our list however that can be done either through the ND or rookie promotions. If we elevate say Blair we only need to use 2 picks in the draft which I think is likely.

Personally i would promote blair and blight!!

2 dynamic players!

Blight is already on the list, was a 3rd round draft pick last year.:)
