"As if Delta would've heard of this no name band and ripped them off" is my personal favorite. A quick facebook search reveals her fan page to have 127,365 likes whilst Arcade Fire maintains a tight lead with 1,427,778 likes.

i had the unfortunate experience of listening to pop radio for a few hours today and i heard a couple of occasions where the "who the hell are arcade fire" line was at least alluded to.

they still have alot of fans of course.
and there last album was pretty well received through all media.

I just don't see any real progression for them to be this really important band that people see them as. They had a chance to really step out and make a statement but they ended up making an album about... the suburbs!!! in the most uninteresting way possible. The same themes were just repeated from the first two LP's. example given in my previous post.

I think Merge Records is best and I love it, but I think Arcade Fire is also nice.

Neon Bible is a good (but not great) album, and Wake Up was a truly fantastic pop song, but they're a tad overrated.

Very similar beat, but Delta's vocal melody is far different. Anyway, I doubt Delta wrote that song.

As far as the thread goes. Minimal chance that Delta's song might be influenced by AF but as far as plagarism, people are kidding themselves. And she is hot so I have no problem with it.
