Deluca Brothers

I am very sure that Fabian "Fab" Deluca will be drafted by Carlton this year. He is a quick and marking ruckman, and he will wanna play with his brother. Surely, we will get him and i'm sure it'll make all of us drooling over next year, when we get to see them play together.

I hope that if we do get him, it will be for the right reasons (that he is the best available at pick 9), and not just for the sake of pairing him up with his brother.

I haven't seen him play, but from what I've heard, he is probably worth 2nd round pick at best, but as I said, I haven't seen him play myself so he could be dammed good (I sure hope he is )

I would have thought that Pagan's is better than pickng someone purely on the basis of their surname. I'm sure if we draft him it'll be because he was the best player availible to us.

Fabian is widely tipped as being one of the best 3 ruckmen in the draft and at least a top 15 tip from what I have seen. His agility seems to be a real asset. The idea of the De Luca brothers sticking up for each other and egging each other on is a slight positive. I will be guided by what Pagan wants though as I don't know enough about any of the candidates.

from what ive read wood is touted as number 1 ruck prospect, meeson 2nd and deluca 3rd ... but there is more quality down the order as well ... with raw skinny ruckman (ie maric etc).

i want us to pick up a skillful midfielder, not a ruckman with 9.

The real question is, where do we take Fabian?? pick 9, where there may still be some better talent available, or pick 25, where it might just be too late.

Also, if we do draft him, will he slot straight into the team...if so, who's place will he take??

i have seen fabien deluca play and he is a very good ryckman and is a smart player but i would like to see carlton try and get ryan willets before fabien ryan willets is a exellent power forward with grear skills

Our priority should be take the best young tall available at No.9 who has been considered by Pagan et al and the recruiting department as the most likely to develop into KP defender. This is the type of player we desperately, desperately need for the future if we are to be a competitive top 4 team again any time soon.

This should be our No. 1 priority more than another midfielder.

And fingers crossed we don't waste the pick and and recruit another Livo!!!!
