The rumour is now confirmed. Not sure about the comment of our ruck stocks being "depleted". He was never a ruckman to begin with, just a forward who couldn't hold a mark with one grab. Wish him all the best with his future career and can appreciate he left and didn't hang around to collect on the year left on his contract.

Hope we use 7 in the ND and our last pick is on either Williams or Johnston. I really rate Williams and for pick 80 add or whatever it is, it's a gamble worth taking.

Jackson I beleive is the nominated rookie, which means as we only have 1 veteran list player in Kouta, he can play from Rd 1 I think.

Can anyone confirm that or correct me if I am wrong?

That also leaves the best available undrafted for Rookie draft 1.

Lindy, we keep picking until we fill out list. In Carlton's case, we can have 38 senior listers, 1 vet in Kouta and 5 rookies. I believe we can also choose to have 37 senior listers, Kouta and 6 rookies. So potentially we can opt to not use pick 83 and have another rookie .... I think.

This would have to be the greatest influx of younger players in a given year at Carlton for some time. I have no doubt we'll unearth a few surprises from one or two of these latter picks. Just can't wait for 2007.
