Adrian Deluca has re-signed for 2 years. An article in todays Herald Sun stated that during the week he had signed on for 2 years. Is this the right decision by the club?

Yep, certainly.

I have been watching him for the Bullants and he has got bigger, a lot bigger. His chest is popping out, his arms are twice the size as they were.

His no dud, remembering in his first year he was pretty good. Kicked a few goals and did quite well... Then he got injured.

Definitely, he's a good player who had been unlucky with injury this season and in the pre-season. He can play ruck and key forward, like Bryan. They are no world beaters but we picked them up for nothing in the drafts, they are bargains. They will no doubt get better and probably be a very good ruck/forward combination for the Blues in the future, they are both only 22 and are late bloomers.

Bryan was probably only ever signed on a 1 year deal was he? Can anyone tell me where the club sits with him and vice-versa? Very good player, I'm a big fan of Bryan's and Deluca's also.

Personally, I would of just delisted Deluca. He's a pretty ordinary player and has little improvement in him. Would have been a better idea to just trade for a ruckman.

Disagree with you Funk, i think there are barrels of improvement in him...

needs a much bigger body, with another pre-season under his belt could see his around the ground work get better as well...

I tend to agree with you, but he may improve over time.
Remember this was only his second season and it was injury interuppted.
Players you de-list are those like Prenda who have been on our list for about 5 years and have done all the improving they can and then are still crap, thats when you give them the boot.

He looked okay in the VFL this weekend. Decent prospect. Now when does his brother come out of contract at Port? Now lets organise a nice family reunion at the end of next year when his 2 year contract is up. Fabian has some serious talent.

a one year contract would have been right. he probabl;y didnt want that. ruckman take time, thats why they opted to go with 2 years. he's most likely on a cheap contract because he hasnt achieved much yet.

time will tell with him.
