Just a couple of mindboggling observations from the weekend's game:

watched the game on Fox, because I couldn't make it to the game and couldn't believe the DEEplorable and one-sided call belted out by Liam Pickering, in particular. It was like only one team was out there and the DEES were the unluckiest side and making all the play. Has he got 4 or 5 Melbourne players in his stable?

Also, couldn't help but laugh at Dean Bailey's comments in The HUN today," I think it's great that we actually had Melbourne people come today." So he didn't notice that they were outnumbered 3 to 1? I suppose it had nothing to do with Carlton supporters turning up on mass for a second straight win. They all showed up to watch melbourne lose 5 in a row, I suppose??

Both gentlemen need a reality check.

If you coached Melbourne you would be looking for any positive no matter how irrelevant or incorrect it is. I would daresay, that would be the most people Melbourne have played in front this year whereas for Carlton it was probably the least.

Carlton crowd dominated at the MCG especailly in the Northern Stand which was predominantly Carlton.

Did they show on the TV the bugle player belting out "its a grand old flag" before the game? He looked the typical toff from Melb with his velour looking dinner jacket but the bit i loved was his cravat he was wearing. Oh how i love those Demon supporters (all 10 of them).:D

I was listening to a Melbourne game on triple M at the start of the season (as I listen to other games when the Blues aren't playing on that same day)

Anyways ..... Gary Lyon was talking about that guy on his Bugle & he started playing & the commentary box was in fits of laughter.....
you couldn't stop JB & BT from laughing their heads off..... was quite funny stuff...... then to hear him on Sunday at the game ..... I sank in my seat... (reminded me of the times I used to watch the Bluebirds when I was younger ......) .....lmao

But full credit & Kudos to the guy for getting right behind his beloved Dees.

Classic comment, spot on. Me and dad used to hang our heads in embarrassment when those dozen or so slappers started doing leg-kicks on the ground. So lame.

With the Bluebirds I couldn't get enough as I was about to hit puberty (and no I wasn't 20 years old back then either), I thought they were the best thing since sliced bread?? LOL :D
