Not me you gooses

Armfield

Needs to play every week. Hard as nails and runs like the clappers

Not to be dropped again

Been my favourite player ever since I saw his hair when we drafted him :p

Love it when he has a good game, always looks so happy. Wasn't even mad that he stole Murphy's goal ;)

Seems that the move into the midfield suited him well. He's bought himself another few games, and would have to have a shocker to be dropped. He just adds a lot more to the team than Joseph, who plays a similar role, but regularly gets less than 10 touches.
Congrats on a great game Dennis.

Been a fan of his for a couple of seasons now. Always seems to get that clutch goal or tackle when we need it. He's very much a "right place, right time" kinda player.

Plays with great intensity and attack on the ball, needs more game time.

Excellent game, the most impressive feature was actually his ability to go through the middle. With Carazzo coming back Army will probably find himself asked to go to a flank again, but I am really beginning to think we could have a good B-grade mid here. His speed and intelligent running make him a great asset as a link-up man, his skills keep improving and he can mind a man. Also clearly likes getting on the end of it for a goal (two which he was the beneficiary of, one which he earned).

On a side note, this is the end of Mclean for Carlton. I haven't called it before now, but with Army standing up to add to our defensive mids, Murphy finding his own ball, Carazzo being our best tagger, Robbo a complete maniac at the contest the only availability is Curnow's place. We definitely should not be paying Brock as much as we are to be our 8th mid (Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Scotland, Simpson, Carazzo, Robinson) when he arguably isn't even that. For now he is depth, but he is probably best at looking at playing elsewhere. I'm not happy calling it, I'd prefer to of seen Mclean put paid to his baggers, but being as slow as he is the sad truth is he can't fit into our side.

Prove me wrong Brock.

Congrats Army on the great game, tear Wells a new one next week

He should be selected every single week, not fluctuated between ressies and seniors. If he has an off game, let it be. He generally comes back and hits hard better than ever.

His foot skills have improved incredibly and that was the biggest issue last year for me. Now that he appears to be over most of that (there was one pretty bad turnover), he should stay.

agree with all this but Army needs to string performances together
Time must be ticking for Brock but you never know
Add a fit Sugar next year...........

he's been down on confidence this year after big improvement last season. I've often wonered if that stuff-up in the Sydney final had anything to do with it.........
Hopefully last night was the turning point for him and he does string some good games together.

Loved it when he burnt off the defender (can't remember who) in short space to score his second. Who cares if one was touched and he stole the other :p - 3 goals!!

Go Army!

Not enough comments in relation to his hideously terrible mo. Drop him till he shaves it :p (somewhat srs, well not really)

Gave him a vote. Was instrumental. Not only is he hard at it in the middle. Not only does his speed allow him to break away from the middle, allowing him to fluctuate between inside/outside position but he can kick goals. Seems to be a really good blend of inside/outside, defensive/offensive footballer.

However, will dispute your 'should not be dropped'. When players deserve to get dropped they are dropped. No free rides in the pointy end of the season!

he is versatile, being able to play back and in the mids. Now he looks confident to go for goal as well. Questions will always be about his disposal and decision making but what we saw last night shows it may have improved.

He was great this week, his hard running exposed some Bombers around him for sure, no he;s not a backman he needs space to run, he will be valuable this week v North, gutsy and fast, I'm a fan of Army and hope he can build on this...

Good game yes, but needs to prove himself with better opposition ie higher pressure games. Saying that he does like a goal and gets in good position for it. Needs to be more consistent that means the MC giving him more game still. But still not convinced on him in big pressure games like finals. He lacks awareness and clean pick ups disposal off footy .

There was a passage of play on the half forward flank don"t remember what quarter, where he had the run of play to pick up the ball and run off . He thumbled got caught the ball did not spill and got pinged for holding the ball.

On the up side did some very nice things and kicked some nice goals!

I haven't seen the game but great to hear Den had a good game. He's had a tough year but has only played about 3 games without being the sub so he really hasn't had the opportunity to improve at the top level. Keep it up Den.

I think in general play he has reduced his speed by 10% which gives him time to steady his kicks. Played real well needs to get rid of the porno moe
