after this morning i have to say that i hate the dentist more than ever.....

sitting in the chair for 2 1/2 hours with my mouth open was bad enough but to think i have to go back twice more and then i have to get my wisdom teeth out...

now my face is numb and i dont think i have ever had so much trouble eating in my life...
:)

My turn will come soon :(

I hate getting my teeth pulled out (who doesnt) but the dentist is one of my biggest fears in life. It hasnt been so bad recently but I still really hate it.

Had a wisdom tooth out yesterday as it happens.

Was surprised about how quick and painless it was. 30 minutes all up and only one of the two injections into the gum actually hurt. Removing the tooth didn't hurt at all.

I was really sold on the dentist as the devil imagery, but it was cool in the end.

I had braces for about three years, then wore a plate and 'head gear', then had all four wisdom teeth out at once under general anisthetic(sp?). My mouth is the most expensive part of my body.

Had braces in early high school, had wisdom teeth taken out about 5 years ago. I would rather they give me general anasthetic when pulling out my teeth anyday.

Totally agree, I can't think of anything I hate more then going to the dentist.

I had one out in February, and it was the same - quick and painless. I bled a hell of a lot, and couldn't eat for quite a while, but had no pain at all. After all the wisdom tooth horror stories I've heard, I was terrified but it wasn't at all bad. However I still have a couple more to come out. :(

The worst I had was a tooth that was fractured and was totally dead so had to come out. It actually broke during the extraction so all I could see was these little pieces of bloody tooth shooting out - NOT pleasant!!!!! Then because it'd done so much damage I had to have stitches.........I've never had stitches in my life, so to have them put in my mouth was a nightmare, they are one of my biggest fears (being sewn up - I don't know why but it's always scared the crap out of me) and the dentist came towards me with this little hook........and I fainted. :o It was all pretty awful but overall I haven't had too many problems at the dentist.

Next time I have to have anything done it will be with an anaesthetic. I had a bad experience as a kid when the drill went through my bottom lip and ever since then they have to give me gas just to get me to relax to open the gob.
