Well, I think that ^ effectively excludes you from the debate.

You were excluded from the debate long ago.

Hows handing your keys and land over the owners of this land going? I thought so.

Can I just ask why It is so hard for adults to accept that teenagers can have depression?

Murray seems to be the only one that actually understands what it is.

That is utter crap, I know younger people with depression and it doesnt start from such trivial and patronising things as you believe. Funny enough, teenagers can be affected by things that even adults would find hard to take.

Like what? Paying for a mortgage? Dealing with keeping your biz and your livelyhood above water? Seriously what can be hard about being a teenager?

You tossa
You may have had a good life when you were in high school but I do have real problems, I hate it when people like you who had a nice upbringing just assume that everyone did and no one under the age of 20 has any problems.
My family life is not what you would call normal, and if you actually knew me you would see.
None of the things you mentioned before even go through my mind anymore, because that stuff isn't important to me at all, when I have much bigger problems to deal with.
BTW I wouldn't even give a ******** if Blink 182 broke up, I hate that faggy band.

Well with that kind of mature reply it tells me more about your depression. I didnt say i had a cosy upbringing, faaaaar from it, I just didn't let it get to me that much.

You have lost plenty of cred when you think good ol muzza is the only one who understands. That trollop from Frankston is an internet hero with no real cred. Hides behind a moniker and spurts out cliché after cliché.

His self righteousness in regards to the camp sovereign affair and his refusal to answer a valid question when asked was absolutely gold and just showed him up for what he is, an forum hero.

How can what I say over the internet tell you about my depression? That is one of the stupiest things I have ever heard.

Because in general terms adults think that life for teenagers is ever so simple.
They do not understand that depression has no age barrier and does not discriminate against anyone.

And most people still think depression is just about 'pulling up your socks and getting on with life" that old fashioned view is so outdated.

Today's SSRI medications are a great advance forward and they work; and when used in conjunction with CBT can ease the suffering on those that suffer from the illness.

Brittany remember this - Ignorance will always have a much louder voice

Oh shut up Murray. Did you read that out of the health suppliment of the herald sun?

Is this another attempt to be nice to a female poster on bigfooty so you can be "sweet and nice" murray and then swoop. You are so transparent murray its sickening.

Let me show you just how easy it is to shoot you down.

How do you know I am from Frankston?

See, now you are floundering.
The truth is you know nothing.

Ok thanks for explaining it, because all the adults I know in real life know that teenagers can have depression, I'm not sure if thats just because my fathers job is to look after teenagers with depression or not. It just really suprised me on here when basically every adult was so against teenage depression.

I really think for you people that don't think teenagers can have depression to actually see that people my age can have real problems too. I know my brother, who is 11 had very severe depression, and there are more and more cases like this now. So please, don't just think that we are all emo and are only saying these things for attention..BECAUSE WERE NOT!

Wtf are you on about?
everybody has problems but you know what the difference is between you and everyone else? You go on and on about your little problems and expect us all to support and sympathise for you. You probably have no difference to the problems 99% of other girls your age have. Nobody wants to hear how your life is so bad just because your parents don't understand you and bla bla bla

It's not that we dont understand that teenagers have depression it's that teenage depression is 99% of the time stupid things as compared to serious depression which you can develop from work. family etc..
