Depth

All we hear about is Suban this, Suban that. But as soon as I bring his name into an efficiency debate, you criticise him.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I had pretty much the whole board jumping on my back earlier in the season, when I hinted that Suban wasn't the second coming. Apparently his kicking was perfect back then, but it isn't now? Personally I find that interesting, because his kicking improved out of sight in the second half of the season.

As for the thread itself, we have depth developing. At this stage, I wouldn't say we have great depth across the board. But what we have now should provide some decent depth for future seasons.

This debate is really simple, as long as your kick hits it's intended target and is to their advantage it doesn't matter how it gets there. Having a text book technique isn't anymore important in Aussie rules than it is in basketball, golf or running etc.

It was about the time he stopped trying to be the next Daniel Gilmore and put some thought into where exactly he was kicking.

Because bookmakers are dickheads. Perhaps?

Or maybe because markets are generally framed in the eastern states and they don't do proper due diligence?

Or maybe most people see us on an average of 3-4 games a year and base opinions on that?

Maybe most people wouldn't know crap about the younger half of our list if they tripped over it?

Maybe people are like some Freo supporters and believe that history will just keep on repeating itself?
