What are your thoughts on Carrara in the Derby? Didn't see the 4th? at the Valley but was brave in the Caulfield Guineas.

At his current odds it may seem his not likely to run? I could be wrong only an assumtion?

Surprised Hanks is out looked like one of the main chances, to me it looks like Shamoline and Rockferry and onemorenomore if it can settle.

I know the wrap Moroney has on Monaco Consul but am heartened to read that the last 25 Derby winners
all had their most recent start within 14 days of the Derby.

Bridgestone is also out of the Derby so as usual it's falling away late as these early 3yo's come to the end of their preparation

snap up the 12's while you can, looking like the track should hold up as good for oaks day, with not to much rain forecast as yet

I got on Hanks before the Vase at $25, so I have to ride him home. (But forgot to back him on the day)

Still think the only thing that will beat Shamoline Warrior is the distance, he looks like being a real star in the making.

But good horses are constantly being beaten over the 2500m at Flemington, as shown last year by WhoBe.

Will be interesting to see the fields for the other races when they are released, hopefully the Mackinnon and the others have strong fields also.

Her 1000 Guineas run was good,probably not quite as good as Faint Perfume but she's $4 & Melito is $15.
Honestly,she doesnt scream Oaks filly to me but she has quality & often that takes 3yo fillies a long way

Nominated for the Carbine over 1600 which I think is more his race. There looks to be a handful of genuine stayers who look like they will run the Derby trip much better than him. I don't have any inside info but that's where I would go.

You do realise the horse was brought up at Moroney's New Zealand base at Matamata. Which is you guessed it a left handed track.

But lets hope these rumours keep circulating, so the 7's look absolute over's come saturday.

Rangirangdoo in the Mackinnon
Irish Lights in the Coolmore (although worried about Paprika)
Faint Perfume in the Wakeful

If only all Saturday acceptances are in by the Wednesday. Gives me an extra day to work out who I'm going to lose my money on.
