what are your tips for the Derby and the Doncaster??

by the way mine are Starcraft and Shamekha.

Vocabulary for the Doncaster, but by no other reason than its my favourite horse, and I'm on it at $13s.

I think Starcraft is definitely looking good for the Derby, but at the odds I think Niello is the forgotten horse. Out in the paddock last week, will be super fresh, and has the form to back it up completely. Currently at $4.40, I think it's a big chance, given that it was the only horse out the top 3 who was always going to run the Derby, and thus has been completely set for it. Although she's just about my favourite horse, I will be risking Special Harmony at those odds.

For the Doncaster I'm on True Glo at 30-1, but I'm not super confident of him winning. Private Steer just didn't look right on the weekend, and will have big doubts over him when they jump on Monday. The one I like is still Grand Armee. Has obviously proven it's a Doncaster Horse, and is looking an absolute treat right at the moment. Chris Munce said during the week that he'd never been on a horse that was going faster than Grand Armee on saturday, but just happened to get wind burn when a horse called Lonhro ran past him. The only query is a dodgy barrier, but good horses can overcome them, and the main threats drew pretty wide too.

I'll bite the bullet and pick 2 for the moment.. Niello/ Grand Armee.

Special Harmony into Ambulance. The latter has barrier one and the Padre up. Grand Armee the danger. The Filly clearly.
