dermie is becoming increasingly annoying. he was a great player no doubt but his comments since retiring are pathetic.
i cannot believe a bloke who was useless the last 5 years of his career on big bucks at sydney and collingwood has had the cheek to:

a) in 98/99 bag james hird for being poor value for money when injured. he then came out captained a premiership and bagged a norm smith. good call derm

b) bag robert harvey twice this year saying he should have retired. harvey has been an ornament to the game and should be respected even if he is past his best.

have a look in the mirror derm your the bloke who did play on too long.

I had Dermie and Dunstall posters all over my room etc when I was a kid. The two of them both moved into media and couldn't have ended up more contrasting.

Dunstall is fantastic, unbias and informative without being smug.

Dermie is harmless.

I think he has some decent views on some things, but other times he's way off mark. He has a bad way of expressing his opinion too, but over-all, he's harmless.

He wont stick the knife in like a Walls or anyone, so he doesn't really bother me because I don't really listen to much to what he has to say.

Thank god we have Dunstall at our club, Dermie wanted Gary Ayres as coach.

I love when during his special comments he says something like:

"Brown will either mark the ball, let it go to the ground & try to crumb it or the defender will swoop in & get it if he dosen't mark the ball"

So whatever he says will have to be right as he has stated every possible outcome of the contest.

Maybe we can change the thread to "things that sit on the fence more then Dermie", "people more capable then Dermie at assessing a situation"

what a timely thread!! i was listening to him on the run home on SEN yesterday and my hate just grows and grows everytime i hear him..

he tries to over analyse everything and speaks so slowly so he has time to think about his next word and to try and sound articulate but is far from it... it just pisses me off how long he takes to spit out a sentence with a point to it..

he just spoke over the top of Ox and Frank yesterday and his points are either really really basic and he tries to make it out like its equvilant to einstiens theory of relativity, or just so far off the mark he comes across like hes never seen a game in his life..

they brought up hiw idea a while back for an "away strip" for the hawks, he wanted to get an "all-black" jumper with a hawks logo in the middle.. because he said "the all black jumper (based on the NZ rugby team), is the most feard jumper going around".. seriously, what a f**king muppet.. and whoever he suggested it to just said, "ahhhh no dermie.."

he is a parrot of the highest calibre..

I just wanted to hear what crap he would speak and boy was i rewarded...
