Just wondering what you guys could recommend in a desktop for $1500 and who is good to buy through.

Thanks! :thumbsu:

What are your needs for the computer. If it is nothing taxing i would suggest investing in a computer of much less value. With the new computer do you need a new screen?

:p Old school.

Like everyone else has said, if you know how to build a system you'll get twice the specs for half the price.

Personally I would recommend Dell. You can pick and choose what you need and they often have a lot of deals going. You'll get a very descent system for that price.

Or alternatevly, www.graysonline.com.au have auctions for the major PC retailers like Dell, HP etc. with new, factory seconds, ex-lease and demo models. You can pick up a sytem for a fraction of the retail price if you know what your looking for. They usually have the specs listed and what is wrong with them. Might be as minor as a little scratch on the case or missing OS. I got a HP Desktop off there for about a quarter of the retail price, the only thing wrong was it was missing the remote reciever for the video card. Everything else was brand new and still boxed and wrapped.
