Ok, I'm sick and tired of all our kids with OP, breaking legs, stress fractures, hammies and whatever else.

Here's a set of rules I think we should implement next season.

1. No first year draftee can play more than 4 games in a row at any level
2. No second year draftee can play more than 6 games in a row at any level
3. Courtney Dempsey should not play any AFL until he can complete 6 games at VFL level.
4. 3rd year players with injury issues should not play more than 6 games at any level.
5. When a player is rested they have the whole week off - no training and no games.
6. Senior players should be rested in one or two games - Hille, Fletcher, Lloyd, Lucas

Thanks coach. :thumbsu:

On a serious note, most of them do make sense. We should wait to see if our luck changes after a few more seasons with a new fitness coach coming in first, might set a few things straight.

Understand were you are coming from, but 5/6 unforced changes each week is a bit much  we would be lucky to field a team after round 10.

I agree completely with your first point, although I think that it should apply mainly to the Senior level. Myers suffered foot soreness after his fourth match and by playing on for another four games, he nearly suffered a stress fracture as a result of playing on.

Lets re-assess this in 12 months when we get a real fitness coach., it might be the difference with midweek workloads etc.

& perhaps not flogging the absolute guts out of such a young squad preseason might help...
