Well yeah - he ain't coming to the Eagles?

What's your point?

I don't doubt the club is trying, but Robertson has made it clear he is open to moving to Victoria, where he will find at least one middle of the pack suitor, probably more (think Carlton, Melbourne, Essendon).

All trump the prospect of starting fresh at rock bottom - especially when your main card to play is 'I couldn't crack the best but I can probably play for the rest'.

There is clearly a player there.

Do we think that West Coast is the clear option?
I don't think there is any trade value any more. There would be a decent chance he gets delisted at the end of the season. From there he could be a candidate to train over summer at a club and try to get another gig. There is a player there, as you say, and if he had come to the club a couple of years earlier he may well have cemented a spot. Also a shame for him Tasmania doesn't kick off next year. He might have been a good choice down there in a balanced list build.

Does he have the kicking to be a half back?
It's pretty good, but he's coming from a club with a good culture and he's a driven player. He chose to stay at the club, because he's the type who wants to succeed at all costs. He's also a player who plays with a huge amount of intensity, and WC desperately needs that. I would love him to stay at the club, but west coast would be getting a good player, who comes from a good culture, and for a cheap price too. He's also a lot better than half the players they had on the field yesterday.

What is his actual best position ?
Graham?

As a junior, inside mid.

Haven’t payed much attention to him, since he joined Richmond. I don’t know if he has the skills and attributes to play mid at AFL level.

I believe Richmond mostly played him on a forward flank, to support the midfield.

Richmond played Graham as a defensive mid that run up and down the ground as well as a negating mid at times
has a great tank but his speed off the mark was slow but did get to high speed once he got going but initial burst missing

defensive running mid is best description

This is probably the best position for Robertson, too, all things considered, IMO.

Has a quicker burst of pace than Graham, FWIW, too.

Not exactly a young up and comer anymore...

From Eagles perspective if we wanted a Dev Robertson type then Will Brodie is 15 minutes down the road and in better form

Devs best hope is to get a rookie list spot on the hope that Tunstill and Starcevich move on leaving a spot for him

surely he would go to the eagles if they wanted him, wouldn't he rather be getting a game rather than being a reserve?

mate look at your list and how you're playing. Our fringe players would easily walk into your best 22 and dominate.

You said he'd be top 3 at the Eagles .

Now you've fipped flopped to best 22.

Yes Dev would be best 22 ATM. No debate there.

Nowhere near top 3 and never will be.

So it was a troll. Got it.

I am willing to lower my asking price for Dev to a late first rounder, WCE.
You making the call.....
