Not sure what reviews you are reading. The reviews have been damn goodReviewing really well early. Good work by IGN to highlight the micro transactions so anyone can make an informed decision on whether they want to purchase it or not.

You did, my fault. What do you mean? I said it was reviewing well, and since then the reviews continue to be excellent. I really liked 4 and this sounds awesome.
the fighting seems very simple in that you just mash buttons and do the same repetitive fight moves over and over againAs a long time fan of the series I found 5 a step down from the DmC reboot to be honest. I had fun with it, but they didn't quite nail a lot of the things the reboot did.

Does it get better as the game goes on?
meh, I think I will give it about another hour or so before I pack it inHaven't actually played this latest DMC but I assume it's all the same. It's like Bayonetta and based on scores. Better combos, better scores, more rewards to upgrade stuff so you can do better combos and get higher scores.
I found that it did get a lot better, but that it never really hit any great heights. The combat itself is a downgrade on DmC but does improve a bit.the fighting seems very simple in that you just mash buttons and do the same repetitive fight moves over and over again
