I don't think he can control how much the Indian public adore him, he's young, exciting, good looking... The girls like him, the men like him because of his cricketing ability and the Indian public have labelled him some kind of demigod, doesn't make him a bad cricketer.
 
Decent keeper, loves to throw the bat and occasionaly scores big. Not much chop at Test level.

Similar to Andy Symonds really (except for the fact Dhoni keeps of course), very popular.

Incredible eye, strange style, entertaining. Looking forward to him being here later in the year.
 
At this juncture he hasn't really been outstanding outside of India but he looks the type who could play exciting innings or be disappointing when he's needed to shore up the team because he loves being flamboyant in the way he plays and looks. He struggled in Africa this summer.
 
He's OK. Indian fans overrated him. Tends to only play well on the flat tracks (which you can expect with his mentality) and really yet to prove himself outside the subcontinent.

I'm not expecting much from him this tournament, but full credit to him if he proves me wrong.

Indian's do overrate him (he's probably second to Tendulkar in popularity), but from what I've seen he's definitely a very good ODI player (best keeper/batsman India have had for yonks), excellent to watch, a great finisher and has performed well under pressure. Also very solid with the gloves. Hasn't proven himself in tests yet, albeit his test career still being young. He's been in good ODI form lately and I think he'll have a very good tournament.

Awful dismissal last night.

I hope he hasn't built his new house yet after the Bangladesh game. :o

I'm still waiting to see his true greatness.

Nah, give the man a break, his cricket team has just been knocked out of the world cup.

P.S - By saying this, I hope to make myself exempt from any bans that may occur tomorrow, when I abuse people after England get knocked out of the world cup ;)
