Dicky Tambling

I'll trade you Tambling for Jeff Kennett's Hawks coat. Straight swap.
I'll even deliver him.

We can throw the coat on the ground with the rest of the team at game time.

That coat has more chance of not turning over the ball than Tambling.
And the coat doesn't use 'lack of confidence' as an excuse!!
And the coat has played less than 70+ games.

"Go the coat!"

LMAO

I know not many will agree with you delibrate but Fck I laughed :thumbsu::D

Tambling is our most tradeable option and we must trade him this year.He will lose a lot of value in the future.I dont know what a viable trade is but definitely they should try for a KPP.The biggest problem for trading is our players have no value because of poor performances.

wait, you forgot the good old 'just wait till the coat has a full pre-season' excuse:thumbsu:
Some of the coats tackles might actually stick too rather than just allowing the player to get off an easy handpass.
Does the coat have pockets? If so I think it's value will probably be too high for a straight swap.

You people really are pathetic when trying to be funny

Tambling is tradable in my opinion and he actually has some trade value.
I'd consider Dowler or Thorp and your 2nd pick. We need a KPP badly. Especially a CHF.
I don't think the original post was unreasonable at all.
Why on earth would Hawthorn trade highly rated key position youngsters and their second round for Tambling?

Thorp and a second rounder?

Are you serious with comments like that

Thorp was pick 6 in a very strong draft, and has huge wraps on him to play both ends of the ground, and is a mobile tall player who has been held back by injury.

Why would Tambling have serious value?

We all have a tendency to overrate what we have don't we? Thorp has played one game. Big deal.
Despite you Hawks fans' obvious hatred of Tambling, he does have trade currency.
Am I serious? If Hawthorn came to Richmond and laid that trade on the table, I'd take it. Do I think they will? No.
Read between the lines next time. Never said it would happen.

listen knob head , pull your head from your ample backside and detail what Thorp has achived since draft day..1 senior game and failed to kick more than 15g in a season at VFL...Would you consider trading Meyer for xav ellis...I think not fool...How about adding some semblance of common sense to the debate before making a complete ass of yourself with using his draft position as todays currency:confused:

Never any doubt about Morton being a player Cogga. Needed to get his head right. Still has all the tools, but here's hoping he develops more consistency when things aren't falling his way.
Thorp has shown nothing. May well turn out to be a very good player, but nobody can honestly say with any conviction right now that he definitely will.

Just his 2nd year in the system. Played 11 VFL game last year for 18 goals. 193cm player similar to Jack Riewoldt.
I'm not saying the kid is going to turn out to be a dud. But the Hawks supporters on here are saying he is a future star without any basis of form to go by whatsover. As I said, we all rate what we have slightly higher than others will rate them.
Gumbleton could well turn out to be a star too, but nobody knows at this stage.

they wont part with him unless they get rewarded handsomely via picks or trades. Top picks who havent been proven or havent had the chance to prove themselves can command currency purely on their "untapped potential". Especially when they are part of a list that is vying for a GF this season. The perception that they cant break into the team because the team is flying is enough to boost their stocks. Even though they are meandering in the VFL learning the caper as a bucket load of our picks are right now. ;)

I know they won't part with him. never said they would. Somebody brought it up on here (can't be arsed going back and reading through the thread) and I said, yep, I'll take that, knowing full well it would never come to fruition. And then this CS dude jumps in and contorts the whole story around.
It's exactly the same situation we would find ourselves at this stage next year if Rance has only played one game. We'd hold onto him too.

Please...

Tim Boyle...

He's a counterfeit footballer.

He looks like a footballer, but upon closer inspection he is found to be completely worthless.

Agreed.

Boyle is an okay mark.

Useless when the ball is on the ground.

Misses too many gimme goals.

His body is a croc. Never gets on the park enough.

If they can get a decent offer than he should be traded, he is at peak and as good as he will ever be, they cant hold on to him forever.

is interesting this kid, formline is shithouse, Hughes would have kicked that in a month in the seconds before breaking back into seniors, yet everyone has question marks on him...this kid has nothing more than a high draft pick on his CV not unlike Danny Meyer:confused:

yeah but how long did it take the steamer before he began to actually produce anything remotely good enough to get a call up? The kid has a high draft pick on his CV, he has only been in it for 2 years and danny has been in it for 4.
Completely different kettle of fish BJ. ;)
