Let me start by stating I go to most saints games, my wife’s is a saints supporter, so I have enough experience to make comment..

What i have noticed this year, as opposed to previous is that the Saints are a more quietly confident this year, in previous years there would have been excess celebrations and carry on after the geelong win, but it seems as though once the game was played and won, they were more concerned about next week, even watching them sing the song after the game, its was not sung with any over the top gusto. It seems that Rossy has got them focussed on the goal of winning the GF, and doing it one step at a time, and not getting distracted by the hype of being underfeated, being on top and beating the raging favourites...

Has anyone else notice the difference in resolve in the team of 09 to previous years, or is it just me....

Goods luck to the saints hope 09 in the season, i will be there cheering for you on the last day, if you make it, and assuming for some unknown reasin the blues don’t ;)......

Juggalo Balla - is that you with your second account as a Carlton supporter ?

On topic, I guess you can either play for (and believe in) individual blockbuster games or you play for (and believe in) the ultimate goal and see every win on the road as one step at the time...

Generally speaking I have a laugh whenever someone starts off what they have to say with attempted validation on their "expert status", I mean I can just see it now; "excuse me ma'am as you can see I am such a fine specimen of a man as I am told constantly by very many men, would you like to retreat to my bedchambers for some romping?" Always has the opposite effect for mine where the individual instead tries a bit too hard to try and impress people.

On topic though you have good taste in women if anything, although how she puts up with your skullduggery I will never know. :p

Never said i was an expert chief... just noted that i have seen (experienced) enough saints games over the past 12 years to make a fair judgement on the team of today against previous teams.

If i had not made that "disclaimer" i would have been accuseed of trolling or not knowing what i talking about....

What you want to do with men in your bed is up to you....

Lighthearted quirk and you have to go and spoil it with homosexual innuendo, shame on you good sir, shame indeed. This isn't the Bay, and it's not all that hard to see multiple games involving the Saints in a 22 game season.

That's all I'm saying, if you took offense to the example of trying hard then I'd suggest you step back a bit and gain some perspective thanks.

Thought it was pretty harmless fun, Sultan. If anything Fly was talking more about some of the boneheads who think they know it all about the Saints after watching one game.

It was not as if we didn't welcome your input. If we didn't, one of us (well I would anyway) would let you know quick enough as I did with some moron who tried to insert Collingwood randomly into the discussion on another thread (which had nothing to do with the Filth).

We will find out soon enough whether the Saints were over-hyped - a trip to Perth the next week tends to sort out whether your mind is on the job (both WA teams are 6 goals better at home at we have struggled at Subi before).

nothing wrong with bit of pseudo homosexual banter, thats whats sort the men form the boys (so to speak).

if multple games, means every game in melbourne, thats about right.

No offense taken, as mentioned just a little harmless banter, makes the working day go a bit quicker.

Ahem. At the risk of getting off the topic of homosexual liaisons, one of the many differences is indeed composure, although I'm thinking more of composure during the game, rather than while singing the song.

Remember last year when we beat North on the Gold Coast, coming from 5 goals down? It was just about the biggest comeback we'd had since the (18)80s and we all wet our pants with excitement. Now, being 5 goals down is no biggie, as was the case against North a few weeks ago. We just get on with the job. And we can do that because we have a gameplan. A good one. With ruckmen and defence and stuff.
