Got a bit of a dilemma.

I am meant to be going to Thailand in January with some friends for 2 weeks. 5 of us booked it in about May, and one bloke has already pulled out.

Another mate of mine is moving out and wants to know whether I wan't to rent a house with him. I have been wanting to move out for a while now and I reckon he would be a good bloke to like with. I am 21 in January and still have a couple of years of uni left so it seems like a good time.

Problem is I only really have the money to do one or the other at the moment. I don't really want to bail on the trip to Thailand that we have had planned for months, as that would only leave them with 3 people. But this would also be a perfect opportunity to move out of home. Personally I think I would rather move out than go on the trip but I have more than just my feelings to consider.

Thoughts?

work in every spare hour you get outside uni.
your holidays start in about a month, don't they?
you SHOULD be able to get enough in that time to do both, well for the first month or so ;)

You'll only really know how good he is to live with until you spend a month or two living in the same house.

I voted Thailand mainly because moving out means you're running a big risk in committing to something that may or may not work.

Worst case scenario would be that things don't work out, and you're stuck in the house in six months' time while your other three mates are having a great time in Thailand.

I will always have the option of moving back home if things don't work out.

as posted in another thread.

Take it all to the casino, bet on Red/Black and see what happens, either you get to do both or none.

id go with that, me and 3 mates had $200 each and had a massive weekend ahead of us. we would have struggled with $200 each so we went to the cas. turned the $800 into $3200 with all the money on black, twice.

ended up having an absolute corker of a weekend :thumbsu:

i know drugs and hotels and a music festival aint on the same level as a holiday/moving out.. but it just shows if you have more balls than brains, SOMETIMES shit actually works out.

Why you would want to move out when your still at uni astounds me. It all sounds like beer and skittles the independence thing, but reality is a shocker.

Take the holiday, plenty of time to move out.

Think with your d1ck....... Thailand +1 :thumbsu:

Be wary, everyone there has 'em, chicks included apparently.

Seriously though, If I was going on one trip with the notion I wouldn't be travelling for ages, I wouldn't go to Thailand.
