Am I not permitted to have an opinion ??

The reality is that the poor umpiring cost us a certain 4 points.

If you think otherwise then say so and explain why.

we lost the match again (collingwood).. that was a must win game

vs Collingwood we were over run in the last quarter

vs Carlton we were heavily outscored in the last quater

vs Western Bulldogs we were over run in the last quarter

but if you want to say the umpiring cost us a definite four points, go ahead. I think when you re-watch the game you will see that there were poor decisions, and good decisions both ways.

Any chance you'll look at the stats of our full forward and say he cost us the four points ?

Thought not.

What stats? :) Harris played well tonight on G-Train.

Draws suck. But it's better to draw from 4 goals down than from 4 up. The way I see it though, we both needed to win 4 of our last 5 games, now we both need to win 3 of our last 4, so nothing's really changed, except that it might be between our teams who slips into the 8.

Am I disgusted ? Yes !

Was the umpiring terrible ? Yes !

Are the umpires the only reason for this "loss" ? No !

Did we (again) fail to close a game in the last quarter ? Yes !

Did we have an advantage with (potentially) three tall forwards ? Yes !

Did Gehrig have his worst game for quite some time ? Yes !

Did the boring "safe" game plan help our cause ? No !

Did the lack of discipline (Gram / Milne / Gehrig) affect the result ? Yes !

Should Voss have been selected if you intend to play a back (McGuire) as forward ? Yes !

Will we do better against Sydney next week ? Yes !

Yes he did, but really poor G had little chance the way we tried to counter your uber-flood. Our delivery into him was atrocious. The only mark and then goal he had was taken away by the trigger-happy whistlers.

NEXT WEEK: We need to beat Sydney. Lose that, finals are gone! I'm a little worried, the last two weeks, the saints have been anything but impressive.

Of course your team didn't flood tonight:rolleyes:

Edited for accuracy.

I agree with almost all of that.

I'm disgusted too and while I wasn't happy with the umpiring I'm more angrier with our inability to close out a game.

Despite not playing well we still should have been able to win that game had we not gone away from the things that had got us the lead in the first place.

Full credit to the Bulldogs who shut down our key midfielders and forwards bar Riewoldt.

If we can kick on from here the draw might not prove to be as costly as we think but having played really average footy for the past couple of weeks we'll really have to improve to win the 3 games to make the finals.

i don't think you will need to win 3 games to make the finals.

looking at what everyone else has ahead of them, i reckon the most likely scenario is that the dogs and saints will both win 2 more games and will still be battling each other for the last spot in the 8.

I reckon it'll come down to % - whether we thrash melbourne more than you thrash richmond.

Of course if i'm right and you DO win 3 games, than you'll get through.

Hey dickwad; when I want my post edited I'll do it.

I didn't see the incident with Milne and Darcy. But given Darcy's propensity to pratfall if someone farts near him I doubt there was much in it. Umpires often pay free kicks for incidents they see the result of, rather than the happening of.

Of course we did. Both teams did. But you flooded worse! :D

Your mob played a non-Bulldogs gamestyle; where was the maniacal run and carry? It was chiplotto, and the game was not much of a spectacle. Sure, we flooded a bit too; but it was less in our interests than yours to do so as much.

But good on the Bullies, fought it out well and scambled 2 points from a game they probably shouldn't have. Really, we had that game for much of the night, and it will probably come back to haunt us.

Go and watch the replay. Gehrig had his mark taken off him becasue Milne was the "dickwad." His offence will constitute a reversal of possession every day of the week. You crying about it wont change things. Milne is a very good footballer but he needs to get this petulant nonsense out of his game. It cost you last night and the decidsion was the correct one.

It wasn't captured on the coverage, just Darcy lying on the ground. But I will have another look to see if I missed it.

I'm not crying abut it. Learn to read. But, sadly, Darcy has been reduced to a stager; he was once a very good player. No doubt Milne has brain-fades, and perhaps that incident was another one, but it seems likely, given what I've seen of Darcy this year, that there may not have been too much in it.

Don't edit my posts! If you want to take issue with them, quote and reply.

You are all embarassing!

Trying to blame last nights loss on the umpires. Except for the dogs first goal (which was awful umpiring), the dogs had the worse of it. I think St Kilda should look at their discipline.

I guess though, you do start to get a bit angry. You think you are the greatest side going around for 3 years, ever since a 10 game winning streak (which you made a DVD of). You havent done anything with your ill-gotten draft picks, but always blame it on injuries and the umpires. Now you have virtually no injuries yet still put in performances which are a disgrace to the game, such as having 15 people in the oppositions 50 in the second quarter. I guess at that stage you do tend to take cheap shots at the opposition!

Do you want to no why we came back at the end. Because we didnt flood and we played attacking football. we only flooded because you guys did and we just did it to counter attack (which didn't work). you flood every single week. I went to the carlton game and you flooded a lot. I agree with you though that the game was bad.
