You're so focused on potting Salah you aren't questioning why Morrison needed to have both arms around him, and over his shoulder for so long. Take off your blinkers.

Ever consider the idea that you're so focused on protecting Salah that you can't even begin to consider why so many non-Liverpool fans are sick to death of his constant cheating?

Pretty much. This is an ex referee too.

It's any wonder why neutrals want Liverpool to lose when their fans are so mind numbingly blind and stupid.

Exactly. The Liverpool fans on here (and everywhere) still ignoring the very simple fact that Salah chose to fall. He wasn't forced to by any action or forces applied by Morrison. Whether or not it was a "foul".

The bloke is a serial diver. It's just a fact. And people are sick of him getting away with it. Other players don't. Why should he?

The other excuse trotted out is that all teams have divers. Yeah they do, Zaha is as bad, DCL for Everton, but they call out divers on their team, not defend them

And just a tiny example from this week's games. Eriksen was slightly tugged back against City. He could have dived - like Salah does. He didn't.

Because he's not a cheat.

Now some might say he should have gone down because what happened to him was probably a foul.

But he's not a cheat. So he didn't.

Do you guys get this now?

I set of Salah blinkers being well and truly used here...

That’s nice writing :rainbow:

You Liverpool fans are hilarious. Show me what Morrison did that made Salah fall to the ground? Where did he pull him? Where did he drag him back? What was the kinetic force that caused Salah to fall the way he did?

You can't. Because it's blindingly obvious that Salah chose to go to ground. That is what makes it a dive. Whether or not it was a foul - there was nothing to make Salah fall the way he did.

He's diver and a cheat. And we all know it.
I thought I was watching the invisible man. And he was playing as a 3rd defender you couldn’t see who must of grabbed Salah and thrown him to the ground.

Because there was nothing Morrison did that would of caused any normal player to go to ground like that

Not entirely sure what the debate is about - what part of that wasn’t a penalty?

Salah’s trying to drive the ball into the area, Morrison illegally impeded him from doing so, ref made the right decision, end of story.

If a Liverpool defender was stupid enough to do that at the other end I’d be furious. Fortunately our defenders are all rowed collars and don’t make those types of mistakes.

Actually in fairness to Salah he plays under the biggest actor of a manager in the league so there’s no surprise he does what he does on the field.

Don't wrestle a player in the box and you won't give away penalties.

It is simple math

Don’t fall over when you don’t need to and play like a man
I am happy to admit that Salah goes down too easily in the box at times and didn't need to go down this time either.

But he was pretty much getting wrestled, the defender should know better

He flopped in a completely unnatural way for the incident. If he put as much effort into getting past the defender as he did the dive he’d have got past Morrison. Took the easy option to flop and make the ref either card Salah or give the pen

Listen mate most defenders are frighten to death at the thought at Zaha running at them and yes he has been booked for simulation but there have been others where they should of been penalized and were,nt. As for Salah it,s not world championship wrestling and on those pictures a clear cut penalty and this from a Crystal Palace fan.

Also lol at some people in here. It's such an obvious penalty. Morrison is an idiot who for some reason was wrestling Salah. Away decision for the ref.
Did you see anyone say it's not a penalty? or are you going to be illiterate all your life?

It was a penalty. However you can still make the most of the contact even if it’s a foul, which I think is the point being made about Salah.

Exactly. It can be a dive and a foul at the same time. It's just a shame that this act gets rewarded and players who try and stay on their feet don't

I think some players have it in their head to “give the referee a decision to make” by going down. You don’t often see a foul paid otherwise when they keep their feet.

I also wonder if it was anywhere else on the field if the player would bother going down so easily when the reward is not as much of a goal threat

Agree re Wilf and nervous defenders. He has legitimately won us 7 of our 10 penalties this season through his foot skills. Penalties all of them. Add the nine he has scored personally and that's a very decent season. Best skilled attacking player outside the big six.

Reputations are hard to shake but the simulation yellow was a long time ago and watching him all season I think he has got that got that out of his game.
