Yes. Well done to the VAFA who were prepared to ask the question and listen to the answer they got back. Also well done to Max from Kew FC who I understand did a great job in putting all D1 clubs thoughts together.
Fair enough to go with the majority but still very sad that 3 clubs have been lost to divisional football. Assume that the with the proposed structure another season of weekly floggings was not all that appealing. Does anyone know if they are all going around as Thirds only clubs or are some going into recess? Either way it’s a long way back but hope they can re-group.

All to thirds for the time being. Wonder if they will let any of them have two sides.

Double Drop? They are all top 5 players in that team. Makes it real hard for the boys there to not go with them.
not suprised they have players leaving after coach decided to go. he and sons got players there but the committee will inspire others to come to this community club and sit around singing ballads rather than learning how to play football.
but UHS probably happy in that space.

Probably happy to go down and win a D2 flag as they do.

If they cant pick anyone up i doubt they will be competitive.

The D2 clubs haven’t picked anyone up so looking like a straight drop.

We have had a few signings not get done unfortunately so we are mid-bottom.

Preston on the new ground will be interesting and could attract a few??

Clearances reopen in Feb mate ;)

With clearances closed. Any noticeable inclusions from clubs across this division?
Now the structure is confirmed we can look ahead and start the guessing game.

Hard to look past my Bullants. Ultimately just short of finals although with natural improvement of our young brigade I am quite excited. How do Oakleigh go if Ashen leaves or breaks down? Parkside will be dangerous if they retain players and you can’t forget PAYRAN

We aren’t known for the sweets but at least we can actually serve up some decent food for a genuine price.
Attended a final at Laverton to watch a grandson play. Bought 3 cups of tea @ $6 each. At that rate they'll be the richest club in the WRFL. At another game, at Kensington, watching another grandson, Uni Blues and Willy CYs (U19) cups of tea were free.

Is their new ground PCO? Haven't seen any reports that they will be moving, but if true, a very good result for the Bullants.
Sad to see Preston evaborate.

It would be more than appropriate for Preston VFA/L to amalgamate with Preston VAFA, thus preserving their history. I don’t doubt that all former VFA supporters and current Preston VFL supporters would embrace such a merger.

On top of my 5’10” white haired head, I can think of some former top-level clubs that are now part of the VAFA family, namely:

- Coburg (Girls only - so far)

- Brunswick, formerly NOBs (North Old Boys), playing at Gillan Oval. Not the Magpies, though.

- Fitzroy, formerly VFL, through a merger with Uni Reds.

- Prahran, through a merger with the former State and Comm Banks FCs.

AND, why not – makes sense. (they wear the same guernsey too)
