Ressies
Chadstone v Dragons 23 points (you heard it first here)
Bit short but I'll take it!

Anyone know how long since the Chaddy 2's had a win?

Well done

Last year, Round 10 v. Box Hill North by a point.

Seniors last win was Round 16, 2012 against Mt. Lilydale by 20 points

Good to see them get a win and they are definately more competitive than i ever remember them to be so things might be ticking over for the boys from Chaddy.

what is the go with the Dragons? They're Club XIII side forfeited on the weekend. Injuries? or just unreliable players?

Top 4 starting to take shape.
Dragons, Point Cook, and Box Hill still have a chance if they can finish of strongly
should be an interesting 2nd half of the year if these teams are able to cause a few upsets

We have been decimated by injury (and overseas travel) this year mate, so unfortunately we've had our Snrs take a fair share of our Magoos and in turn our Magoos the Thirds. I'm not sure what club you're part of, but apologies to you & the boys if we've put you out - along with any other club.

Hawthorn, West Bruns and Canterbury should take out 1,2,3 respectively. Manningham, BHN, PC and Dragons (and possibly Westbourne) to fight it out for the remaining finals spot - good to have a tight ladder - where results aren't as straightforward as previous years.

On form, Manningham looking the best of the four...

It's not like the clubs are near each other either. What's going on JP?
Great initiative by West Brunswick i'd say. Sounds like they've clearly defined the players they want moving through the rest of the year and have come up with some sort of agreement with the Dragons to help them out with their Clubbies and give their players some game time. Sure, they may lose a few of those players in the long run but i seriously doubt WB would get rid of any players that they thought were too valuable. The interesting thing is what this is going to do to the Dragons for the remainder of the year? Will they make a concerted push for finals now that their numbers are going to be guaranteed and improve much more than they already have? The other question is how many of the 28 cleared were actually 'contributing' on the track anyway and are actual 'clubbies' type players who don't train and want a game?

Time will tell but it's a good move in my books and keeps another 28 blokes running around.

There is 104 pending or approved transfers from WB to Dragons

Maybe something similar has happened at West Brunswick like what happened at Scoresby at the end of last year. I'm not talking about not paying players but the extra activities the coach was undertaking with a board members better half...

Surely this can't be correct? 104????? There must be a glitch in the system as i don't think the Ammo's would let them all through without some sort of inquiry.

Besides, why would they head all the way over to the Dragons when their cross town rivals at North Brunswick or Manningham and Box Hill are a hell of a lot closer!!

Or was someone at the Dragons making offers to the WB boys after last weeks games and lulling them in to signing forms before the cut-off!!!

This is going to be interesting to see what unfolds.

Have just been advised by a VERY reliable source that these are not clearances but in fact 'interchange permits' which allow the guys that aren't getting a run at WB an opportunity to have a run with the Dragons Clubbies which helps them out to field their third team.

I reckon it's great what these two clubs have done and, although it will be interesting to see how it impacts both teams numbers next year, shows good spirit. Would be hard pressed to find this sort of relationship in any other footy comp. Well Done!!

I heard they were going there to play in the clubbies so they could get some match fitness

I thought as much, were the other clubs in the grade consulted on this??

I heard that WB enjoyed the tuck shop so much out at Keeley park last week that a few of them wanted to change clubs. It seems they're coming in droves though.

will be interesting to see if any of these cleared 'interchange permit' players line up in the 1's or 2's for the dragons this week or coming weeks

Could make a late charge for finals
