What's is your view of him for now and the future?

To me the general consensus seems to be "he will be good, if he could just get on the park and out of the physio room", has this changed?

A bit random I know but he is still young and in my eyes doesn't get enough press

Thoughts??

Still think that he could have a fair impact at senior level. Hasn't been able to take a trick since coming to the cattery but could add that spark to our side. I think that due to his size when drafted the club thought he'd make an impact sooner rather than later and I hope they decide that he's worth hanging onto so he can have a chance to prove himself.

Quick, can play both inside & outside with the ability to run you down or smash you trying. Pretty hady qualities in my eyes and if he gets an injury free run, he might provide some genuine excitement up forward.

too be honest l haven't seen much of him l remember the first time l seen him it was he and varcoe played in the NAB CUP l thought Djerrkura looked good and was hungry for the pill l hope he becomes a good player my wish list for him to become a bateman type let hope he spends more time on the park this season

I reckon he will be a Handy Player for the Future, especially when Veterans like Dasher and Tom Retire.
If he has less Injuries, then he might be right to go pretty soon. But he might have to wait a Couple of Years to be a Good Player that is regularly in the Senior Side.
He is a Good Young Player that should come in Handy in a Few Years Time.
We could give him about 3 or 4 Senior Games in between, just so he can reinforce the experience and get an even better feeling of what it is like, if the Injuries stay off, of course.

Djerrkura = Hype.. and plenty of it on this board.

Not his fault, but unfortunately he's yet to prove otherwise.

I've watched him in the VFL a few times, and he strikes me as a player whose injuries are on account of his ill-proportioned phsyique. He has a large, powerful upper body, though his legs are akin to a chicken's, at least relatively speaking.

Based on what I've seen with my own eyes, I don't hold all that much hope for him. He has endured many soft tissue injuries, and if he were to overcome them completely and enjoy a few solid preseasons, he may become a valuable player, though it would be against the trend of his first two years.

I remember watching him at the start of last year thinking "wow."
He would pick up the ball in the middle of the pack, spin out of trouble, burst away and hit up a target upfield.
Then he was struck by a run of injuries which slowed him down. Suddenly we see him look a bit and a bit worried that maybe he'll pull a calf muscle again.
I really hope he can get himself fit and in top shape because if we could have him and Varcoe in the forward line, at their best, they'll be hard to stop. Their pressure would stop the run from teams coming from half back and their crumbing ability will be very handy with the like of Mooney, Lonergan and hopefully, Hawkins, roaming around up there.
ahhhh....it's like a dream.....

His chances of staying have certainly improved with Prismall wanting out and Byrnes being prodded in the direction of the door. I'd be very happy for him to stay. His soft tissue injuries may prevent him from ever making a seniors appearance, but if he can get himself right he would be more than a handy player.

He seems a very good prospect but can't see him getting much game time for quite a while but who knows. He seemed a bit stocky at the GF sprint.

a little birdie told me he likes to drink and get into trouble. i hope this isn't true as he seems like a very talented player

I heard he doesn't drink.....

I also remember reading somewhere that the quad injuries were directly related to coaches changing his kicking style when he first came to the club.

With a bit of luck those injuries should be behind him and you'll have a good quality player on your hands. Would love him at the dons.

Laracats is just a racist idiot who thinks that all Aboriginals drink!:thumbsd:
