Do us a favour Crows

Mmm. Looks tough for Richmond.

In addition to winning twice (Freo-h, Melb-a), the Tigers need two of the following three things to happen:

Brisbane lose once (Carl-h, Syd-a)
St Kilda lose twice (Adel-h, Ess-a)
Collingwood lose twice (Syd-h, Freo-a)

Yeah, unlikely we will make it, but to still be in the running for the 8 at rd 21 is a lot better than last year's disaster.

Off topic a bit, but I reckon the Crows have hit form at the right time of the season. Everyone was talking about how crap we were against you, (and we were) but I think we were belted by a very good team. How far do you Crows fans think your team can go in September?

Yeah cmon give the saints a belting like you did to us ...

If you win and sydney win this weekend it would make things very interesting.

Give yourselves and us Richmond supporters 1 more week to have something to Crow about !!

Crows to be too good for Saints :thumbsu:
Swans to be too good for Lions :D
Pressure on Saints in last round with Matty Knights wanting to see his mate Richo play finals

I would start a similar thread on the Port board askling them to do us a favour and beat the Roos, but I suspect I would be wasting server space if i did so.

a) Port are in no way good enough to beat the Roos

b) If they were, they would lie down and lose, purely to spite us.

The tankers would/could not possibly win.

to the tiges fans, I wouldn't mind seeing Richo in a final series.

Please don't do that. They'll use it as the excuse for losing by saying they lost on purpose so they wouldn't do us any favours.:D

It would be the only time they would admit to tanking. Wonder what Vlad would make of that?

On our day, I think the Crows can beat any team in the top 8 - except Geelong. Hawthorn & Footscray aren't in the greatest of form at present; Sydney & North have been our bunnies for years; Collingwood, St Kilda & Brisbane don't hold any great fears.

We would be confident of victory going into a game against any of these teams. That's not to say they'd be arrogant enough to assume victory will happen, but neither would they be going into the game fearing defeat.

How far we proceed is entirely dependent upon which side of the draw we end up on. If all else goes according to plan, our campaign would ultimately be ended by Geelong - whether that's in a Preliminary Final or the Grand Final is anyone's guess.

correct me if im wrong crows belt the saints... and finish 5th ... plays the 8th team ... which could be richmond, and we belt you again hehehe .. plays the doggies the following week ... we beat them again after beating them in rd 22 ... then get smashed by geelong ... LOL ...

North have a hard run home, we will likely finish 4th.

Play Geelong get anally r*ped, go to AAMI and play a home semi against the winner of 5th and 8th, hopefully that game is kanga richmond, as kangas have been our spanking toy for a while.

Then play a prelim against hawks of dogs....hopefully a good day for us and then get spanked in a granny or hope for a polio epademic in geelong.

Like everyone else, I dream of that sort of outcome...but then I wake up and the cold light of day forces me to rational thought.

I'm not so certain we'll finish 4th, as I think the Roos are a genuine chance of upsetting Geelong. If I remember correctly, Geelong had their problems with them earlier in the season. Having said that, the Roos will need to be at their best - if they are, then they're capable. They'll only need to be 10% off that and they'll get rolled.

If we can knock off the Saints this week, I'd be confident of being in a position where we could realistically finish 4th - providing other results go our way. Standing in our way - Harvey's "farewell" home game, and the emotion surrounding all of that. In our favour - Saints having to get back up after a trip across the Nullabor, and Milne out with a broken cheekbone.

Why is it Harveys farewell home game? They still play in their loungeroom the following week against the Bombers:confused:

Last "home" game. They're the "away" side against the bombers, even if they are still playing on their own home ground.
