I'd prefer the 1950's.
Yes Yes Yes
Add 1950's.MFC will be lucky to make the finals this year. If so, I can't see the club will win premiership in 2009. I doubt MFC will make the final 8.
If that's the case, I prefer to watch the 1950's video and use this video to pretend its 2009 and make the good use of this year's coming draft before 2012.
Mathematically, short pain => draft concessions => draft talent top players => winning games => finals => premiership => long term happiness. The pain is completely healed!
Add more benefits including for example:
1) Add club's success and strength as well as increase more memberships.
2) Demolish the club's debts.
3) Avoid club merger craps.
4) Increase players security for long term (10+ years)
For instance, in 2007, if MFC lost 1 more game (ie: Carlton in round 22 or Dogs few weeks before etc), Pick 4 (Morton) plus Priority Pick 18 (something like that) will be handy. Add Pick 21 (on Maric) and Pick 14 (Grimes on Travis Johnstone's trade).
This result Pick 4, 14, 18 and 21 (4 top picks)
2008 as the result of 2007 will end up the club getting Pick 1, 2 and 18 or 19 rather than Pick 1, 18 and 19.
Pick 1 Watts
Pick 2 Naitanui (?????)
Pick 18/19 Blease
As the result, MFC has lost Pick 2 on Naitanui. Although there are some people think 'wins' is more important than Naitanui. With this golden opportunity lost, it will be nice to get Pick 1 & 2 for Scully and Butcher plus Pick 18 or 19 or 20 rather than Pick 1 or 2 and Pick 18-20.
Imagine Naitanui, Watts, Scully, Butcher, Blease, Morton, Grimes, Mclean, Maric, Pick 18 (2007) etc. My goodness! Is this team will be as good as in the 1950's?
