After watching this years Wimbledon, I am convinced that I could give some of these birds a real shake. Apart from Henin (who I despise after her gutless effort at the Aussie Open) and a few others, they are all so one dimensional in their game it is a sham.

I don't think I have seen Sharapova hit a volley. Numerous times in her match against Williams, she had the opportunity to finish off points but instead scrambled back to the baseline. She relies on a total of two strokes, her top spin forehand and backhand. Never seen her change up the pace by playing a little slice, never seen her do anything else but bash balls from the baseline. Her number 1 game plan is to grunt.
I reckon I have played enough tennis to give her a fright.

The women just dont have anywhere near the athletic ability that men do. Im sure there are plenty of blokes not even on the WTA tour who could account for Serena Williams in straight sets.

What standard tennis do you play Vulture?

I'm not playing at the moment because of footy but 2 years i was 17 and playing grade 1 pennant and i am sure i could have beat all girls outside the top 20.

I remember once that Serena actually played against a bloke ranked outside the top 200 in some kind of exhibition match. He smashed the she-man in straight sets.

I serve as fast as the professional women, apart from the men i.e molik, williams bros ect.

I'd give it a crack if I played them. I creamed the 900 odd ranked woman in Australia, and have improved since then.

I play A grade Waverley District.

Women's tennis should be treated like every other women's sport.

They don't even deserve half the money. Imagine you had a separate Australian Men's Open and a separate Australian Women's Open. The women wouldn't attract half the attendance or media coverage of the men.

I reckon even the Poo would probably beat every female tennis player.

lol. they do have separate tournaments for men and women - Men's Singles & Doubles, Women's Singles & Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, the latter being the only tournament where the genders aren't separate
