Well... when you have to buy the presents, I don't think it really matters. ;)

One of my cousins was born on Xmas day & he hates it, not just the fact that he only ever got one present, but his parents called him NOEL, poor bastard. :(

Hahaha poor bloke!

Mines the 24th of Jan. Not exactly near Christmas, but it's great come Christmas/Birthday time. I get all my Christmas money & Birthday money near the same time. So come the end of Jan I'm loaded.

No, they are strict catholics, thought it was wonderful their first born was born on Xmas day, didn't realise the affect it would have on him his entire life.

No being strict catholics, they would have named him after whatever the religious name is for easter, Lent I think?

Hehe. The lady that lives next door to me back home, has her birthday on Christmas, and is called Carol, for that reason. Her best friend was born the day before...and her name was Eve. Cruel, cruel parents.

My birthday isn't near Christmas, but most people I know who have a birthday on or near the date, get separate presents.

I'm annoyed enough that my birthday is the start of March. Too close to Christmas. The middle of the year would be nice, space it out. Two and a half months is not enough time to think of something 'big' to want again! (or something...reasonable. ;)) Gotta wait a whole nine months to get presents again! :(

Mines on 27th December. When I was younger I used to hate it, the whole one present thing. I don't really mind so much now. The main problem I have with it is that I never really have a proper birthday party or anything because of everything else that's going on and people tending to go away and all that. It helps being able to go up to the 'G for a couple of days of the test - I just let myself believe there's 50,000 people there just to help me celebrate my birthday! :D

I forgot about that, poor Noel never had a birthday party with friends, he just got a cake after Xmas lunch with the family. :(

July 2nd.

Close enough :D

It seems like every second person I know has a birthday in July. And plenty in August through November, too. Always seems to be consistently more birthdays in this bracket, than in the first half of the year.

I don't know. A lot of sex happening in the warmer months, perhaps?

Thanks to everyone.

Note: my birthday isn't today, but I had it VERY recently.

But thanks to everyone, well mantis, for caring. :)

HA HA someone should do a Thesis on this, because it is fair dinkum, in Victoria especially, more children are born 9 months after the non footy season, most in July & August, the first 2 months after footy finishes. :D
