As I said before, I'm not usually a big 3D platformer type of person, but this... this is a banger.

It evokes a feeling I haven't had in a long time, the same feeling I had playing games of this genre as a kid, playing games like Spyro or Croc (I had a PS1 rather than a N64 if it wasn't obvious). It's not just a type of nostalgia I don't think, but a certain piquing of curiosity and love of exploring. A little hard to put into words for me, but it definitely pushes the right buttons.

Also it just controls beautifully.
 
Don't think I personally have this above Odyssey, but also can't argue with those that do - I do think Odyssey's actual platforming is a quite a bit more engaging which is why I give it the edge.

I also still think Astro Bot holds up against both. Either way, glad to see genuine bangers of 3d platformers being made and long may that continue.

Oh yeah, Odyssey is awesome, conversely I wouldn't argue with those that would have it higher than this, I think because I played the shit out of DKC trilogy as a youngster im swayed a bit.

Need to get around to pulling the trigger on Astro Bot, going to wait closer to Black Friday. Unfortunately with Nintendo being Nintendo never going to get a major drop in price, hence getting DKB now.
