Gutnick and Elliott-Collins got at least as much attention. The Leon Daphne -Mal Brown stash got as much press as well.

Nothing wrong with putting the acid on the club every once in a while. Whatever side of the fence you find yourself on, the truth is the club has been dire for the last 5 years and it is only right that the membership let it be known that they expect more from their board than to be timeservers.

Of course he does. You play hard and it upsets people. Ask Essendon what they think of his attempts to get Solomon, or Sydney and how they feel about Shannon Grant, or Geelong about Leigh Colbert. The Fitzroy - Kangaroos merger would have gone through and the Roys fans would have had a club if Miller hadn't cut the legs out from Dyson Hore-Lacy. Even Nathan Brown coming to Richmond.

You don't work in footy for 30+ years and not have many many enemies. Well not if you are doing your job properly.

Me thinks you are a bit oversensitive.

nothing wrong with putting the acid on the club every once in a while? not, its called imploding I think youve got the 2 muddled, and unfortunately we have a pathetic history of doing it regularly and the more i read these boards the more I get the feeling ppl like urself and cairo et al, in a sick perverted sort of way enjoy watching the bloodshed bc "its the tiger way, and we're notorious for being brutal and ruthless even amongst each other" Its exactly this sort of culture thats brought us to our knees more than once in the past 20 years.. and its abt time this club woke up, grew up and became more professional instead of living in a fantasy land thats 30 yrs gone

Essendon may not like Miller but do you see them calling cheap shots from the outer? absolutely not, why? bc whilst he may step on toes to get wot he wants and be ruthless and singleminded hes not dirty, hes just damn good at what he does, that doesnt make you enemies, it earns respect even if it is grudging...If Miller was the big enemy and loathed thjey would be sinking the boot at every chance, not a peep from anyone else in 34 yrs of footy except for that clown from Nth Melbourne and we all know its personal between them. Hardly enemies

Thats just cra p. We've sat around sucking it up for 4 out the 5 years Casey has been the president. Even putting up with that clown Frawley for 4 out of 5 years.

We've been the very model of patient supporters for 4 years.

Suckin it up doesnt work either. It leads to $2.3m losses and a wooden spoon. If we hadnt started going feral at Frawley, Miller would have argued he should get another year, like he did last year.

Casey was out to lunch until there was a challenge. You think this sudden brilliant business plan that's come about in the past 2 months would have happened if there wasnt a challenge. If Caro hadnt started writing articles about Ian Campbell, he'd still be CEO.

No matter who wins, best thing that happened. Something needed to be done. If Casey gets to go on, at least he will do so on notice.

Is this now the official fall-back position of the Pahoff, Schwab, Macek pre-Christmas sparkler fizzle-out?

ah bulldust mate, now ur just talking crap to suit ur arguments, how stupid do u think GM is give spud another year? not bloody likely, all Miller did was make sure spud saw out his contract a contract that was already in place before he walked into the club a contract made in part by 2 of the clowns making up the opposing ticket  , open your eyes and stop being consumed by this hunger to sink the boot into miller, its feral... he was just showing the football world he was there to honour the contracts the RFC made..

for those such as you with very short memories and a penchant for the dramatic lets remember that spuds first season only saw us just miss the finals bc of an extreme run with injuries, but things were looking ok, his 2nd year we made a prelim, half way thru his 3rd season we were looking alrite, he gets the extension and things turned pearshaped, its really the last 2 seasons that things were terrible, if miller sacked him at the end of his 4th season that wouldve been bc of one bad whole season, typical richmond, wen things werent improving this year he chose not to renew the contrct, something wrong with that edict? thats pretty damn professsional and the way things should be done. You dont want casey fine, but to resort to saying things that are simply not true to try and cast aspertions on GM is just downright low

Actually starting to feel a bit sorry for you lot[never thought i'd say that] but it was bloody good to pick up the paper this morning and read about Kokoda and what our blokes got out of it and their different opinions and how eager they are to get into it in 2005. Real footy news! Rather than all this egotistically driven bull******** that both our boards have put us through in recent times. Whatever the outcome, believe me,you'll feel that same sense of relief when it's all over down your way too. Because the Shehans,C.Wilsons.Barretts,Stevens' and other so called footy experts are loving this spat and for them, the longer it goes the better. It ain't healthy!

Merry Christmas Caro...... thanks for turning RFC around for us all.

Didnt expect you to get it. So I'll map it out.

Whichever side wins the election, the expectation amongst the supporters has been clearly set.

Macek says big 4.

Miller says he's 2 years into a 4 year plan to make us a great club again, and doesnt want to start all over again.

So either way, no matter which way we voted, we expect to be a top 4 side in season 2007.

If Casey wins, and we're not, you can be the first to go take a running jump at yourself Jimmy since you've worked so hard supporting Casey's ticket.

WTF are you on about?

The point is we were patient supporters for 4 years. I didnt hear about anyone spitting on Frawley in his first 4 years as coach.

You're going on about us self destructing in...

" a sick perverted sort of way enjoy watching the bloodshed bc "its the tiger way, and we're notorious for being brutal and ruthless even amongst each other" Its exactly this sort of culture thats brought us to our knees more than once in the past 20 years.. and its abt time this club woke up, grew up and became more professional instead of living in a fantasy land thats 30 yrs gone."

Well for 4 out of the last 5 years we were the least feral supporters in Melbourne. Look at us compared to St.Kilda, Melbourne, Carlton & even the so called famly club Hawthorn.

So spare us your cliched drivel about RFC supporters being feral. We're feral this year cause we showed a lot of patience for the previous 4. And it cost us millions and rewarded us with a wooden spoon.

huh? your whole point abt patience is bollocks, since wen is enjoying a couple of yrs of reasonable success termed being patient  you cant seriously say that u didnt enjoy frawleys first 2 years? if you do then ur just full of sh*te and not worth talking to

I think i was pretty clear in my last post abt breaking down spuds tenure wasnt I? was i wrong? isnt really only 2 years of real crap weve gone thru and this year GM went abt righting that wrong by not renewing his contract and signing Plough? for mine thats doing something positive, FFS open ur eyes, it never ceases to amaze me at how selective and short some memories can be

Dont get me started on Frawley. You want me to go thru the long list of hacks like Sziller, King and Hudson he was drafting from his first day, not to mention jobs for his mates like Stewie Lowe as ruck coach. Begging hacks like Gaspar and Holland not to leave.

We'd be raising eyebrows every year when another hack like Hudson was drafted, but we didnt go feral. If you were clapping him, well that's enough said about you.

i was clapping the team wen they made a prelim final in his 2nd year, pretty safe to say all supporters even the most cynical were, wouldnt u?

we all know frawley was a train wreck, my point wasnt to try and word him up, meh, no point rehashing the same thing over and over with you... each to their own even if it is with blinkers on

Loosen up a bit 1980. Seems to me you have lost your confidence after 24 years of suffering and are unable to see the tide has finally turned. Strap yourself in and hang on..... it will be worth all the angst.

Save up your energy to kick some real ass.....like Carlton, Essendon, Melbourne, Collingwood. It will be very sweet.

David Smorgon,Campbell Rose and Little Johnny Howard were seen mooning Plough during Richmond training after the Federal Government confirmed their $20 million pledge to the Doggies for the re-development of the Whitten Oval ...
