I would have thought top 4 would play Friday night and Sat arvo to give the losers the longer recovery time (+ travel in Sydney + Freo's case). That would mean Sat night or Sun arvo for us?
I think you're probably right, I had two thoughts in my head.

1. Loser of Geelong v Freo play winner of Coll v Port, so they already have time advantage.
2. I liked the romance on Richmond's return to finals being on a Saturday afternoon :P

Having said that, given it is Freo, the league will probably schedule them earlier to allow them to fly home that day in case they do lose.

Also, they won't schedule 5v8 on Sunday and 1v4 on Friday. That's almost 2 whole extra days break for the 1v4 loser on the 5v8 winner.

I really don't care who we play BUT if it happens to be the blues then I want 4 quarters of 8 goals to 3 = 120 point smashing just to ram home to point you don't deserve to be here now f off

We'll most likely do the opposite though & let the spud Mclean rack up 52 touches and kick 12 goals against us.

I still think Saturday night is the best time for footy. Friday night games are almost gone, Who wants to rush home from work on to get changed and go back into the city and get home at 11:30-12:00 then maybe having work for half a day on Saturday..... Either Saturday arvo or Saturday night is the best time for footy imo. I think it will be,
Hawks v Swans on Friday night.
Geelong v Freo Saturday arvo.
Richmond v Carlton Saturday night
Collingwood v Port Sunday arvo.

Gives the losers of the qualifying final the extra day break which they deserve and will get in both of the games. Then Sydney v Richmond on the Friday night and Freo v Collingwood on Saturday night.
Although if we get through the first week i'd rather play on the Saturday night as it would be better with work. :P

Not getting ahead of myself as I think Carlton will take it up to us, But as far as im aware, Sydney don't play finals at the SCG, I believe if we play them at the ANZ stadium it will suit us better as its a bigger ground. Suit our run and carry game as open up out the wings. Wouldn't put it past us up there. :)

Doc larkins said he would only miss a week on the afl website. Hope ur right though
