I am aware that if we win 4 or less games or something this year we get a priority pick at the end of the first round. but after 2 years of doing this that priority pick gets changed to a pick before the first round, meaning pick 1 like melbourne are setting out to achieve this year.
so my question is, if we win the required games to get a priority pick this year, then hyopthetically do again in 2010, with the gold coast coming in with all their picks would our priority pick still be at 1 in the draft or not? if that makes any sense lol

I'm pretty sure a priority pick comes in after the GC17 picks have been taken.

We're not going to be aiming for that, anyhow.

We'd get pick 4, which is the highest pick not allready allocated to the Gold Coast. Also depending whether we finish 15th or 16th we'd get either pick 6 or 8 aswell.

I already ask this on the Drafting trading board. I couldn't get a clear answer for sure but it appears the priority pick is suspended for 2010 and probably in 2011.

That would be classic Richmond if we spooned it in 2009 and 2010 and got only a bonus pick at #18 for our trouble.
