Which of our draftees do you think will play in 2006, and if so how much.

Stanley has the body and we could use another small defender, seems the most likely.
Thomas is a bit skinny but I would be suprised if he didn't get a few games in the forward pocket.
I think Pendlebury may debut if he impresses but is less likely than Thomas and Danny and Anthony and Cook (he's a bit of a mystery though) will probably take some time.

About the only one without scope is Cook IMO.

Most of them are bottom age.

Thomas was drafted for the mid, but like Eags, he'll get a run.

Stanley will likely get a run.

Key is though, hopefully we've got a full list to choose from for most weeks and if we're lucky, none of them will play AFL in 2006!

I have a feeling Thomas will get a lot of game time. Playing on a HFF, and later rotating through the midfield.

Stanley should get a run. Playing in the backline.

Pendlebury could be the surprise packet, but I don't think he would get a run.

Anthony and Cook will most likely spend all of the year down at Williamstown.

I wouldn't write off Anthony getting a run, despite being very young. Particularly in defence, it's relatively linear and has less bash and crash than what KP forwards and midfielders have to endure.

I reckon Thomas is a chance to play beween 3 - 6 senior games. He will be given short bursts in the forward pocket similar to what Egan did.

Stanley apparently has the physical attributes to be a ready made AFL player.Should be given an opportunity in the pre season & after that, who knows!

It is interesting to note all of last years draftees played (even the rookies). This time last year we were saying that only Iacobucci was any real chance with Egan a bit light, Rusling only played school footy and T.Cloke was a young KPP doing VCE.

D.Thomas - Will probably get around 10 games as there is room in our forward especially if L.Davis doesn't impress. Could also mean Didak moves into the midfield. 10-15 games.

S.Pendlebury - If he impresses at VFL level then yes as we need his type of player. May get 5-15 games if any.

D.Stanley - Seems to have the body to step up to AFL and if we want Johnson to move into the midfield and are lacking small defenders (noone has really claimed that spot in our side. It is equally between Swan/Lockyer/H.Shaw/O'Brien). Will definately play at the very least 5 games.

R.Cook - Probably a project player but is a bit of an unknown. Unlikely to debut.

J.Anthony - Could be a smokey for a few games however the general rule with KPP is that they will take a while. However if Wakelin or Prestigiacomo to a lesser extent, look to be declining with age they may want to try JA out at CHB/FB and feed him to the wolves rightaway. Alot of it will depend on Tex and if he can crack the side as well.

Agree with just about all that. I don't think Jon anthony would be thrown in unless we are desperate.

only coz we were slaughtered by injuries! If you bank on injuries then sure ofcourse they will all play! Realistically if we take into account an average amount of injuries, only a few of them will get game time. And i think at the top of the list will be liek u said Thomas in a forward pocket and stanley in a bp
