We have a CHF. Perrie wouldn't be enough to get Waters or Butler.
IMO waters and Butler are not on an even field - Waters would be worth more

Thats where you would be wrong.

Perrie would most certainly be worth Sam Butler. Not sure he would be enough to get Waters.

Waters >>>> Butler.
That's where we differ.

I reckon Butler will develop into a very handy on-baller. Perrie has 3-4 years left.

And where would he play?

Hansen would remain our first-choice CHF, and Perrie is not a good enough set shot to make FF his own. Not when we have Brad Smith lined up for next season.

I just don't know what Perrie's role would be if he came to WC.

OK lets put it this way,

Perrie is a 26 year old KF who can play both FF and CHF or on the HFF or FP. He has played those roles before and done well in them. He has 4-6 years left in him.

Where he plays for you, I am not sure. Thats up to your coach to decide. He can rotate through a number of forward positions.

You say Butler will develop into a very handy on-baller and I agree but there is a difference between a star on-baller and a very handy on-baller. Key forwards will always have more value in the open market than midfielders. Its a proven fact of life. Chances of picking up a quality midfielder in the draft are MUCH higher than picking up a quality on-baller.

If your offer was Butler alone, I am not sure AFC woudl consid that. Butler is a kid with talent but he hasn't proven himself at the AFL level. He has potential but potential doesn't guarantee you a good AFL career.

If Sarge does go home, time will tell where he ends up and what we get for him. I would be very surprised if we can't get a mid first round pick or equivelant for him. VERY surprised.

Why do they call him Sarge?
