Does anyone know much about dream interpretation?

In the past few weeks I have had the weirdest and most vivid dreams.
Last night I dreamt my bed was broken and the sheets were ripped to shreds. Then I pulled the doona up to cover the ripped sheets only to find snakes hiding under the doona.
God only knows what that all means! Does anyone else know?

What do you dream about? And do you dream in colour or black and white? I always dream in colour. I thought this was the norm until a lot of people told me they dream mostly in black and white.

Ripped sheets and snakes? Weird.

When I dream I either don't remember the dreams or remember them as actual real-life memories. Sometimes I don't realise a memory I have is a dream until I find myself doing the exact same thing or thinking of whether or not I've already done it.

I always have very vivid dreams, and mostly in colour. Sometimes I have the same dream over and over. It's like watching a re-run, I know what's going to happen next.

Do you ever have a really good dream, and then wake up and try so hard to go back to sleep to get back into it? Never works. :(

Bee,

According to Freud, dreaming of snakes represents, ummm, how can I say this nicely, ummm, the bits that make men, men.;)

I agree with Rusty here Bee.:D :D

Personally, I keep dreaming of good looking women sitting in the bath eating banana's. What could it all mean?

This might sound wierd but when I have a bad dream, I can often think in the dream whether it is real or not, and so instead of getting all worked up and frightened/whatever, I can just chill in the knowledge that I'm having a dream and everything will be cool. I can also make myself wake up if it gets too intense.

Does that sound wierd?

No not at all. This happens to me in dreams from time to time.

There is a book called "The book of Dreams" which gives all the explanation of what we dream about. Most dreams have the opposite meaning to them. Such as if you dream of death of a loved one or anyone for that matter, it doesnt mean that -that person will die in the way it was dreamt. It usually means to take extra caution on that day and slow down. It also means a birth will occur on that day or in the future.

There are several other books in relation to dreams which you can get from your local library.

You've been watching too much of the Fox 8 promo with BJ Cummings from Son of the Beach

Not weird. I do that all the time. I can start to panic, but then just know it's a dream and go with it until I want out.
