I saw this movie last night and I must say its pretty good. Its got that cult movie feel to it and has a distinct style, even though some of the aspects a borrowed its mostly done as homage.

The soundtrack is different but pretty cool at the same time and adds to the movie. The acting is pretty good even though carey mulligan was miscast for her role.

I would definately watch this again and soon.

Distinctly 80's feel to this one. I too enjoyed it. It's weird seeing BrBa and SoA melding into one with Cranston and Perlman doing their off-season work here. On reflection, it's a tad muddled, but still a good watch for 100 mins of your day.

Is this already out??

Or did you catch an advanced screening? I have been waiting to see this ever since I first saw the trailer. It looks amazing

Been waiting for this since it screened at MIFF on August 6.

Tickets were like $100 though cos it was Closing Night so I didn't bother.

Release date is supposedly October 27.

List of international release dates here.

Surprised we actually get a release date with in 6 months of the US Release. Strange that Moneyball hasn't got a release yet but Drive has.

I'll be there opening day, couldn't have read any more praise for it.

I am sick and tired of movie trailers being deceptive. So I'm gonna sue!

A Michigan woman is suing FilmDistrict Distribution LLC, the outfit that distributed Drive, and the theater where she watched said Ryan Gosling action-drama thriller, all because the trailer had made it seem like the movie was gonna be just like Fast and Furious (not the gun-trafficking operation but the street-racing movie series) and it totally wasn't at all.

Hahahaha there are some crazies out there.

The fact she is a fan of Fast and Furious just adds to it.

Said it before, but Drive was boss, the bees knees, the **** etc..

Watched this last night. Great flick. About half as much dialogue in the movie compared to most films, but that added to it.

Great soundtrack too.

Finally got around to seeing this. The first word that comes to mind is slow. I didn't mind that so much, just didn't expect it. Some great music, and I liked how Gosling was a man of few words. Also didn't expect the level of violence.

Here are two killer tracks from the film:

Movie of the year for mine. Great acting, graet script, great cinematography and the best soundtrack ever.

Very good movie, agree the soundtrack was killer. And far out it is absolutely brutally violent.
The stomping scene (amazingly violent) and shotgun scene were nuts.

Yep, same.

So methodical, didn't feel drawn out at all. Gosling crushes, probably the only thing I didn't like was Mulligan, but her character was pretty weak so she did the best she could.

Wow... Am I the only person who didn't enjoy this movie? Gosling was amazing as per usual but felt it didn't really go anywhere or build up to anything big...

Nice to see there is at least one other person on planet earth that didn't like this dreadful pile of shit.

I thought it Ryan Gosling was terrible, the scene revealing his character had autism must have been edited out due to time constraints.

I will never understand how any film buff could even remotely dislike this film. It pays homage to so many great films, a tricky task that Refn pulled off perfectly.

Then again, people make fun of me for having zero interest in LOTR
