I was and still am a big fan of Medhurst, I think in time he will develop into one of the best specialists forwards in the competition.
That said its time this guy was dropped back to the WAFL and made to realise he isnt all that yet.
On top of looking disinterested at times and lacking effort, the thing that really anoys me is how he abuses hes better team mates.
The case were he gave Haselby a serve a few weeks ago was a prime example, but he did the same to longmuir today.
Medhurst out
Croad or Waterhouse in

Thing is, he is the sort of player that will just turn around and kick 5 goals out of the blue. Keep him there, he is only taking up a forward pocket position.

Ummm... no.

Pick the best 22 and have Medders develop at AFL level. You forget he was the leading goal kicker in the WAFL his last season there. What is to be gained with him going back there. I'd prefer he take a Hardwick-type and stretch opposition defences.

Freo is still bad at spotting up small forwards in the forward 50. Farmer gave Pav, J Lo and one other a spray today and rightly so. He was open and was missed. Farmer was in good form today and could have had 6-7 goals.

Nah, he might not have been a superstar this year but he's still worth a spot in the best 22. He's too good to leave out of the side.

If someone is free in the square and is ignored by the person with the ball I believe he has the right to be annoyed.

If you choose to have a shot at the expense of passing to a man by himself in the square, you must the kick the goal or else you will cop abuse from your team mate.

Simple as that.

Well this is how I see it.
Ourforward line is struggling and I think Croad or Waterhouse should be given another chance.
From the side Medhurst is the one that deserves the most to be dropped.
If its only for a week to deflate his ego will be enough.

Medhurst chased , harassed and presented well all day today ... but still not enough. It wasnt enough to give him a ticket to Sydney IMO . Clive may well get his call this week. J Lo your on notice too !!!!!!!!!!!!1

He was well held in the game against Adelaide. Not surprised actually because he has a lot to work on.
I have his email address if you want it. I will pm you with it. Email him and he will reply to you.

J-Lo kicked 3 goals on a day when they were at a premium, and again when the delivery to the forwards was ordinary. When it was delivered well, he kicked the goals. The only thing lacking is the contested mark he was taking earlier this year.

I gave Meddie a bit of abuse early but as the game went on he seemed to be doing more of the 1 percenters. Keep him.

I reckon Koops has used up all his petrol and needs to revisit the Garlic Munchers to get a refill. TLo will take his spot.

As for Croad, where do we fit him?.

Some of you guys forget that Koops does the jobs that aren't flashy and get the kudos. When Burton was dominating in after the first quarter, Koops was moved onto him and shut him down to half his usual output.

We did better in the clearances yesterday but still got beaten 41-36 and Cook had 10 of those.

Croad will come back this week and T. Longmuir may get a berth just to see how he goes in terms of the list.

Yep, I thought it was 41-30 but anyway, we did pretty well in the clearances, especially considering it was against Adelaide. I felt that a lot of our clearances were effective though while Adelaide's weren't.

As for Croad, I think he will be back against Richmond.

I don't thonk Medhurst will travel to Sydney this week, his spot will be taken by Troy Longmuir.
Meddy still has to learn how to play the forward pocket, that means staying down when the big blokes are flying for the ball.Point in making the third quarter against the Cows and he spoilt Jlo in the white square.Had he stayed down may have picked up a snap goal.He has to watch Farmer he doesn't fly in the square, though it hurts me to say it neither does the best small forward in the comp, the seagull from the Eagles.
Stay down and kick goals Meddy.

Huh? Carr was on Burton in the first quarter, Burton clearly won that battle and kicked two goals. Carr remained on Burton in the second quarter and restricted his influence as well as being damaging himself, kicking two goals. In the third quarter, Begley was moved onto Carr because he was hurting the Crows and Burton was moved to full forward due to his freakish athleticism.

Interesting, I thought we dominated the clearances, particularly in the second quarter. I guess our clearances were far more effective though.

If T.Lo doesn't play against the Swans, I will get Connolly's email address from Suzi and demand reasons for his exclusion! :)

This is exactly what its all about. He has the talent & he has the brain to use his talent , but unfortunatley his ego is something that has to be bought down to earth. A week at Claremont is what is needed. Perhaps he should talk to T Lo , Clive or Ritchie and ask them how it feels to be performing at WAFL and not getting a look in.

Don't have his email address.
Just email the club.
