Has Malceski had any problems in the pre season? I think Haselby is a bigger risk, he's been seen with ice packs on his knee and is well above his usual playing weight. I'm not touching him.

A nice side, only query is what happens if say Newman does a Hammy. Out for 3 weeks not worth trading. Can you rely on Petrenko or Broughton to defiantly play? And if they do, young rookies usually only score 30-50. I would do some downgrading and swap either petrenko or Broughton for say a Grimes who is guarenteed to play 22 and hopefully score 60+ every week.

Other than that, I like the Cloke option. Stevie J is still quite pricey and i think Lids and Pav are to expencive to have both of them at this stage.

Yeah Grimes obviously struck a bad injury at the start of last year and only got to play in RND 22 2008. Pick 13 from the 2008 draft hes a roving half forward. He's played in 2 Nab matches scoring 60 and 115. He's defiantly going to get his chance this year. You can have Hill starting, but good luck, cos chances are a backman will get knocked down and you might be left with a '0' playing. Not good for ur league or rank haha.

Defiantly safer although i have a feeling we have seen the best of Goodwin. There still value under 400k. Neon Leon is moving into the Midfield which proved to be awesome for his last few games of 2008. He got 100's like 5 weeks in a row, so imagine at his age he can only get better. But if that doesn't suit i would do a straight swap from Goodwin to R. Murphy who is a gun and should have a great year to improve on his Ave of 90 last year.

And the Grimes move is defiantly worth it, happened to me last year with backline inurys and since then have vowed never to have a rookie starting in the backline. I wouldnt worry about the Pav downgrade to Lovett. KP forwards ussually take 6 weeks to warm up so he will come down in price just in time after Andy has made you 50k. haha, good luck!

Statistically this statement is a fallacy. From memory, Johnson was either first or second most consistent amongst last season's forwards. This was measured by the amount of rounds the player's value was below 85% of their starting value. SJ was under just once. Pavlich was very similar. Obviously this is a new season, but based on this information there will never be a great time to purchase SJ compared to some of the other premiums around.

Bit light on at the bottom of your listen, starting MacKay, Otten, Higgings, Krakoeur, Thompson, Grimes, Raines.

Imo downgrade one of Bock/Waite to a 250-315k backman and upgrade some of your keepers slightly eg McMahon to Fisher or Gibbs to Hodge or upgrade Houlihan/Higgins to a keeper.

Mate dont get sucked in to all this unique thoughts, generally players are unique for a reason. Just pick players who u think will get u the highest score. Your previous team was a lot better in my opinion, however i like the Krakour pick tho

Considering downgrading ottens to say Mcintosh, making an extra 30g. Made a few changes. Decided to go with cloke over thomas. I think ill also stick with richo/franklin rather than having riewoldt or pavlich.
Thoughts on the overall, any advice would be great.
What do people think about dyson, hasleby and coughlan may be risky but could work out. Also with porplyzia and coughlan i think ill keep them even if they dont play round 1 or 2.

I figure that if Beams doesn't play, theres a fair chance that Robinson and/or Anthony will.

Pav is expensive, but will play every game so he provides alot of safety.
