DVD copying software

Any recommendations?

I've got a new pc that came with a dvd burner and the obligatory pre-installed software, but my past experience with pre-installs is that you often find something way better than that elsewhere.

And what about copy protected dvd's - is there one that can actually crack that protection?

DVD Shrink & DVD Decypter.

DVD Shrink 'cracks' most copy protection but it is used to shrink down the contents of a commercial DVD movie to fit onto one DVD-/+R.

DVD Decypter is used to crack more stringent Copy protection, use it to rip the contents to your Hard drive then you can shrink it, burn it whatever.
