Hear we may be looking at hiom from the Lions, why would we want another ruckmen when we have King,Ottens and young Blake, don't think this wil happen

would be pretty top heavy with Ottens, King, Mccalren, Mooney, playfair, Nathan etc don't u think

I think you would find that Chambers would improve out of site if he could consistently play. He plays about 40% of game time whether thats in the AFL or VFL. If he could get the dream run that other "young developing" players that "provide structure" do, he would be a lot better.

Except he has a very important thing Chambers lacks ... ability!

You think so, he seems equally awkward looking to me. If had serious talent, the Lions would shop off one of their injury prone rucks (Charman, Keating, McDonald) instead of McLaren.

Yeah not to sure if we want McLaren, not a proven ruckman, dont think ive evr seen him play a good game of footy, probably fourth choice ruckman at Brisbane behind Keating, Mcdonald and Charman and hopefully with Ottens and King injury-free next year, the ruck divsion will be one of our assets and Chambers does a very good fill-in job and Blake and even Mooney can step in when times get bare.

Otto we want perminant in the goalsquare, Moons we want ruck-roveing or on half-back, which means King in the ruck with a counterpart ...

We can have Chambers or McLaren, very similar but I'd take McLaren, he has proven he can get his hand to the ball against quality opposition, Chambers is often exposed in this area against a good tap ruckman, and around the ground he does nothing!

McClaren should never have been drafted. Occasionally wins a hit out but that is where his abilities finish.

DUD, get him down at your own demise :o

You can't question his work ethic, he tries his guts out every game.

But yeah, he just will never be a great footballer.

I may be wrong, but didn't McClaren just say he WANTED to leave???

Can't see the merit in going after one battler to theoretically replace another battler even if said acquired battler is a slightly better quality battler.

It's all about the battler.
