tey just had an hour showcase on the 3ds because they didn't have enough time during their own press conference

they had devs come on stage like warren spector to show off their games, long demos, heaps of trailers and information

take notes sony, nintendo killed you

That makes it look like the Wii GamePad is just a new device for the Wii, not clearly articulated that a whole new console is coming out. Typical big name publication that has no idea.

Thats what the reporter thought it was, they realised though and it's been edited now.

I could see it being a problem for Nintendo though that like the reporter, Mum and Dad think that WiiU is just an add on controller for the Wii, buy the gamepad for whatever it is, take it home only to realise it doesnt work with the Wii.

'Do you have Skylanders?' was getting old anyway.

Yeah, that was my impression too. Nintendo need to market it clearly so it is understood that the WiiU is a completely new console, not just another expense for the Wii.
 
Am I the only person that wants a HD Pokemon? Why wont you do it Nintendo, that game alone would sell consoles.

Just imagine - A big open world the size of Skyrim, with HD, realistic looking environments, and HD Pokemon (Think of like a skyrim dragon, but still having the same looks of the pokemon.

A character creator like all RPGs have these days, you create your character and then start off like handheld pokemons so go and see the professor and stuff, then you take off into the massive, endless HD world where you can fight and train pokemon.

Really now how would that not sell? that would be insane (as long as they didnt "nintendo-ify" it by making it all bubbly and colourful)

Make it happen Nintendo, you/us/everyone wont be disappointed!

Such a shame that we will most likely never see this happen :(

Ahh we can only hope! (to be honest I would be happy with just a normal cartoony pokemon but like the handheld ones so adventure ones on the wii u not like the battle ones)

I have been thinking this for years, would be an absolute cash bonaza for them. It also makes perfect sense to do it on the WiiU and to use the GamePad as the Pokedex etc like that picture. It would be stupid not too do it.

Exactly, and yeah the way the picture shows the Pokedex works great, if they wanted to keep the 4 moves turn based style that could be on the gamepad too or if they wanted to change it, whatever.

It would sell RIDICULOUSLY they would have to be at least considering it right?
 
Another bonus to pokemon on Wii U, to be honest I probably wouldnt buy them (unless they made awesome limited edition ones you could only get through NFC) as I feel the old fashioned way of catching your pokemon is better, but that doesnt mean millions of kids wouldnt. Just say theres a 10 year old kid who wants a mudkip but cant catch one, at the shops with his mum he could just buy a $5 toy Mudkip which he then scans into the Wii U and he now has a Mudkip, and also a toy to play with. Or you could scan it onto your Wii U and then get an egg that you have to care for which will hatch into a Mudkip to make it a bit better than just straight out getting the pokemon.

That would actually be pretty cool, like you could even just buy a toy egg and then get a completely random pokemon from it when it hatches in game.

Nintendo would make a shittttttttloaddddddddd of cash from this. As long as they make good pokemon again, not like their newest batch -_-

Okay I'm starting to get ahead of myself now :p

http://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/27225pokemon-wiiU 2.jpg But imagine like you flick that ball from the GamePad onto the screen and you have to hit the pokemon but in saying that (and this goes for all Wii U games) please dont make it gimmicky, like Wii actually had some great games but the fact that they were full of gimmicky bullshit made them bad, like Zelda Skyward Sword is awesome, but I hate having to swing my controller around and look like a tool just makes it hard for me to pick up and play.

Anyway I'm going to leave it at this - the possibilities of Pokemon HD on the Wii U are ENDLESS!

And dont even get me started on an MMO!

Also Pokemon Snap U could be awesome too, using the controller as a camera, but thats a whole other story :)
 
Havent played pokemon for years but if they did release a full 3d adventure for wii-u with a skylanders toy kind of gimmick, my wallet would cry.

Nintendo would be absolutely moronic to not do this, on the other hand i could see them doing a pokemon battle type game instead incorporating the same kind of thing, again leaving us all waiting for a proper 3d pokemon not on a handheld.

Dont make me fly to japan and kick you in the balls nintendo, your sitting on a massive cash cow, automatic next gen win if it happens

Yep I'm 100% sure they will do it with a battle game.

Which I wouldnt complain about but an adventure game would just be so much better.

In regards to Irrational. They made it very clear they were staying away from E3 this year.

At the end of the day, it's for the better. They've really been showing A LOT of Infinite and if they were to show more they would've had to work of specifically cutting a chunk out to show for the fans and polishing that up.

Levine said they weren't gonna start on Vita until after Infinite too didn't he? Probably expecting far too much on that right now.

The complete lack of Valve all round at E3, at least so far, is very surprising. I think many were hoping something, anything around Half Life was going to be shown. But even then they haven't really got much that we know of right now apart from DOTA. Really surprised they've not shown up.
