Metal Gear Solid for Xbox "Metal Gear Rising"
In a surprise appearance, Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the Metal Gear series announced today during Microsoft's E3 keynote that he is in development on a completely new Metal Gear title to the Xbox 360.

The game will be called, "Metal Gear Rising" and will be starring series veteran Raiden, from Metal Gear Solid 2 & 4. The title also claims to have "Lighting Bolt Action." Umm..... Sweet!
Although the secret behind the Raiden image has been revealed, what about the other images of Big Boss (if it is him) and that creepy mask? With the countdown on Kojima's website still ticking, it seems likely that Kojima has at least a couple more surprises for us at this years E3.

Left4Dead 2
We saw a very brief glimpse of Left 4 Dead 2 this morning at Microsoft's press conference, now we get a bit more details from publisher Valve.

"A large part of how Left 4 Dead became 2008's top-selling new IP on Xbox 360 and the PC was the custom-tailored gameplay made possible by the AI Director," said Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve. "With the knowledge gained from creating the original, new technology, and a passionate team, L4D2 will set a new benchmark for cooperative action games."

Set for Nov. 17 as an Xbox 360 and PC "exclusive", the game will add melee combat, deeper cooperative gameplay and new weapons, including a chainsaw, frying pan, axe and baseball bat.

The game will make use of AI Director 2.0, which Valve says will take the game's dynamic gameplay to the next level. That means the ability to procedurally change weather, world objects and pathways and "tailoring" enemy population, effects and sound.

The game will also feature new Survivors, boss zombies, weapons, and items. Valve says the game is much larger than the original with more co-operative campaigns, more Versus campaigns, and maps for Survival mode available at launch.

"Left 4 Dead was backed by our most aggressive advertising campaign to date, and resulted in a top 5 showing on two platforms during holiday 2008," said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. "Left 4 Dead 2 is a larger game and will be supported with even more consumer and retail advertising programs than the original."

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will be released for PC and XBOX360.

Will be completely in 3D with all the original settings and now with voice acting as well.

A few weeks back, a German ratings board posted a listing for The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition for the Xbox 360. Well not only has LucasArts today confirmed a remake is in the works for the 360, but they're doing fans of the series one better: They've partnered with Sam and Max makers Telltale Games to also develop a brand new episodic installment for the PC and WiiWare.

Called Tales of Monkey Island, the new downloadable series will come in five episodes, and begin releasing in July. The game will once again follow Guybrush Threepwood, the protagonist of all four major entries in the series, who accidentally releases a "voodoo pox" that turns the pirates of the Carribean into monsters (does that sound familiar to anyone else?). Guybrush will also once again battle the series' main villain, LeChuck.

As for The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, it's a complete makeover of the original 1990 adventure game (shown above). It'll feature new graphics, remastered music, the addition of full voiceovers, and a hint system to help players with more difficult puzzles. The game is scheduled for release this summer for PC and Xbox Live Arcade.

the PSP-Go is going to get announced tommorow according to IGN

US, May 30, 2009 - Sony's E3 press conference might still be days away, but it would appear one of the company's biggest cats is out of the bag -- the PSP Go is real.

Yes, for some reason the latest episode of Qore is live and features host Veronica Belmont speaking in the past tense about E3 and getting a private demo of the PSP Go from SCEA Director of Hardware John Koller. Want the deets? Well, imagine a smaller PSP-3000 where you slide the top portion up to reveal the D-Pad, Select button, Start button, and traditional face buttons. The screen is going to be 3.8 inches, the unit is 44 percent lighter than the PSP-3000, there's no UMD drive, there's a Memory Stick micro slot, it's Bluetooth compatible so that you can use a headset and link it to your cell phone, and the unit packs 16 gigabytes of flash memory.

That's awesome. Do you do much in quarantine?
Um well, not really in quarantine, sort of though, schools closed, sort of feel obliged to stay home.

Can't get myself to study for exams, so i guess i'm ****ed

hahaha
Might consider playing GoW.

I was stoked when I read about Crackdown 2.

I thought it wasn't going to happen, so I'm very happy.

Crackdown was criminally underrated, and simply over shadowed by offering the Halo 3 Beta Key.

Looks like it's got mutant/monster enemies now, more co-opness and competitive multi too? I didn't think it was going to happen either with APB taking it's sweet time, but here it is.

Crackdown 2, L4D2, Forza 3, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, Shadow Complex, good times.

Where's HBK? I want to rub his face in the Forza 3 announcement. Being released this October, great graphics, 400 cars and being dubbed "the definitive racing game of this gen".

Alan wake looks good. Will it be worth the wait? I hope we get a finished product this time.

When the Epic guys came out, I thought they were gonna announce Gears 3, but the arcade game does look pretty cool.

The avatar racing game looks wii-like, but it is free so I'll check it out.

Partnerships with facebook, twitter and Last.fm look good as does the on-demand video service expanding to Aus.

Halo: ODST looks alot like Halo 3. I wonder what Reach could be. How could they possibly milk anymore out of this franchise? I laughed at the nerdy presenter.

What is everyones thoughts on Project Natal? Full body motion control and voice recognition. Sounds good, if it turns out as they promise.

Watching the EA press conference now, which is pretty poor. Just the Sims, some girly games and NFS.

I'm watching them all over at IGN.

HBn00b is banned for two weeks.

Micro$oft have really outdone themselves. I am depressed at the moment, Sony better have something big lined up because I'm getting up at 3am to watch the live feed.

Mylo and the motion sensoring shit makes me want to go out and buy a 360.

The long and awaited Modern Warfare 2 gameplay.

OMFG!!!!!
