Not much being said about this week's game. Are we conceding defeat already.

This is my guess at the team changes for this week:

Out : Kemp. Cummings, Harding
In : Jones, McIntosh, Gaspar.

Seems Embley and Braun will play WAFL.

If Kemp plays Chambers will be out.

I hate to say this but I dont see us beating the Bombers. But if they play with the passion that we have seen glimpses of this year then who knows.

Haven't had much time to discuss the game as I have received slightly more homework than anticipated in my first week back!

Kemp I agree will be dropped so he can get match fitness in the WAFL, Cummings obviously is out and Harding hasn't shown jack.

Jones will be important this week in trying to tag the essendon juggernaut, McIntosh is an obvious inclusion to tackle Lloyd but Im not sure about Gaspar. It would be great to see him play but whether or not he does is still unknown. Glad to see Embley and Braun over their injuries but they will need some match fitness. Chambers has shown some potential so far and will probably stay.

The outcome of the match....I would like to see us win but realisticly I dont think we will come close judged on our performances so far. Good one week, shocking the next. Essendon will be too strong in the end

Why I mentioned Gaspar is the he was BOG for Souths. We desparately need a tall player to come through in the abscence of Glass and Siera. Trent Carroll is not up to it but we need him to play this week and make a better fist of things.

Judge reckons Kemp will play, but he hasn't looked too special so far this year.

McIntosh is back, maybe Braun and Jones too. I don't know if we've got the luxury of giving Braun a run in the WAFL - if we're going to have any hope we'll need all guns blazing.

Will be very hard to win but im gearing myself for an upset.

I think Kemp should play, its better for the whole team to have him play, he's our captain and is an old stager so the kids look up to him.

I don't think we have a chance in the world of winning. This will be probably the only time this year when i will give the eagles a 0% chance.

Sheedy really hates the eagles, and earlier in the week he said he will not hold back on the eagles and will teach us a lesson. He is still bitter about that Mitchell White incident from last year.

I'm not sure if playing Kemp is the best option. Maybe including someone who has fresh legs and can play at least 3 quarters would benefit the team more.

Anyway, the outcome of this game will depend on which type of Eagles side shows up. If the team against Richmond shows up we will get flogged. If the Eagle side that mans up and helps out his team-mates turns up I think it will be very competitive.

Remember last years clash? Apart from the 1st half, we were able to stick with Essendon for quite some time and our loss didn't look too bad considering other sides got whipped against them. Both our wins have been 'away' games, and we won at Colonial last time we were on the road. I'm looking forward to the Fletcher vs Wilson clash.

Why do they insist on Carroll at CHF, we know he can't play there, Essendon knows he wont play there so why bother. Put him in defence where he knows how to play and let him slowly prosper down there, christ almighty, they say coaching is hard

As you all know, West Coast always turns it on for their long-time rivals, and this week will be absolutely no exception.

Kemp will play. Whoever said that he hasn't shown much this season and implied that he won't this week needs their head checked. Think about who you are talking about.

I always get a feeling of quiet confidence when I hear people talk down the Eagles chances, so all you people do is make me more excited about this game.

Yeah Arch i agree, i thought at half time that we were still in it and if we could just get the first couple of goals we might have a shot but you called it without Gardiner and Cousins it was always going to be too hard. I mean even with them it was a long shot so without it was never going to happen.
Havent seen McIntosh be cut up like that in a long time and the most Lloyd had ever kicked on WC was 3 prior to that game, so you could say that Ash has the wood on Lloyd. But it was Lloyds night on sunday.
