However you spell his first name, you have to think something might be a bit dodgy. If this had have been someone from another country coming from no-where to break records etc we would be saying drugs. Why don't we do it with this bloke? also his girlfriend is also breaking records by 3-4 seconds, very suspect l reckon

i think he's playing around isn't he?

Eamon's been around the mark for about 18 months or so, it's not as if it is has happened overnight.

same with Steph Rice, Comm.Games, Worlds and Nationals she's been competing well.

Not even close to dodgy as far as i'm concerned.

the question is,and it has happened continually in the past, if this was someone from overseas would we be suss. The answer is YES, any money the media would be onto it, all l am saying it is generally one rule for OZ and one for the rest

the dude from the States asked questions and we all stay quiet because it is indefensible this sort of stuff. There have been so many cheats around the world that you can't defend these questions.

I agree.

Just an extended run of good form.

lol yeah a women who already has proven competitive at world events drops 6 secs over 400m in one swim and 3 seconds over 200m in one swim and it's not dodgy.

big drops can happen naturally but not when that person is already at such a high level.

even phelps has only ever done about .75 sec/100m in his absolute biggest drops and he is a freak.

name the last swimmer from any other country who was already a medalist a worlds who out of nowhere found 1.5 secs/100 metres and i'll show you a drug cheat.

but of course we must remember remember she is a dinkydi true blue aussie. nothing to see here.

Eamon at least has been in the mid to low 48's for a while now. If he dropped 1.50 secs in one 100m swim he'd be cheating 100%.

Well he just shaved .09 off the 50m world record

I don't think it's anything suss, not like he has totally sucked then all of a sudden came from nowhere, has been swimming good for a couple of years.

As for Rice, yeh I was a bit shocked she cut that much off her PB. Innocent until proven guilty? I think everyone should just shut up about "drug cheats" until they actually get caught.

The Suits are not a 1second+ difference, a very small difference yes, a massive difference, no. Athletes get better, it happens.

so why aren't we all jumping on Alain Bernard and saying he is a drug cheat?

you are giving the same circumstances with Eamon as you are with Alain Bernard - he set a world record or two - i'm yet to hear ANYONE saying it is suss. The only one ANYWHERE that has had anything to say is Gary Hall Jnr. and he's been a gob off for at least 10 years, that he has no credibility left in the sport of swimming.

yeah its gotta be suspect, 6 secs in a hell of a big drop, just because their from OZ we are expected to accept and get on with it:confused:

agree.

Mr Klim spent a bit of time with young Sullivan. We should remember, when Klim was at the AIS, training with Alex Popov, their coach, Gennardi Touretsky's stolen safe turned up with steroids in it.

And the male national team swimmer from NSW in all likelihood, offering Elka Graham PEDs. Pretty easy to work out which swimmer it would have been in NSW, stalwart in the mid 90's.

Don't ignore drgus in Aus swimming, they are there, they just don't tell you. I would be more than likely to look at the coaches. Young, ambitious male coaches, perhaps schooled with sports science and physiology degrees. Old guys like Ken Wood, I would be confident his charges would not be involved.

But the younger more ambitious coaches. Look at the team surrounding the swimmer, and the potential influence.

Remember Rice is in Qld, and Sullivan is in Perth. I would be unconcerned with Rice.

Womens swimming is still pretty weak in terms of a small catchment, small depth. She swims in a technical event, just hit 19, so probably had latent potential to fulfill. Mark all those factors with ticks, you can make big inroads.

There IS ALOT of speculation about Alain Bernard. There was alot of speculation about the German women. There was alot of speculation about Inge de Bruijn.

I would be pretty confident everyone of the above is doping.

I think Phelps is doing a heavy course, his face has taken on the appearance of a hgh user. I would be concerned Sullivan is looking more like Phelps by the day.

HGH makes you really lean, strips the fat, your extremities grow. Think feet and hands. Big feet and big hands are very advantageous in swimming. You facial bones also grow, and the cartilage. Check Inge de Bruin and Phelps' jaws. Yes, their natural bone structure has a large mandible. But not that large. The effect of hgh and cortison, and perhaps corticosteroids, strips off excess weight, so all the facial muscle atrophies, which gives the appearance of larger facial bones. Facial muscle also atrophies with such a high workload, 50 kms in the pool a week. So that is a something to keep in mind, which runs contrary to this thesis.
